" This was a fairly typical Stephanie Plum book. That is, Stephanie had interesting mishaps in her line of work as a bounty hunter, her car was once again kaput, there was the continual back and forth between Ranger and Morelli. Same old, same old. At this stage in the game, the stories tend to get a bit repetitive and stale. So what brings me back? Basically because Stephanie is still very likeable, other characters like Lula and Grandma Mazur are still full of foul-mouthed fun, and the books are a nice, light, and funny read. "

" Loving this series. This one was maybe funnier than some of the others. I am starting to see how Stephanie's regular life just seems to be full of all these obstacles, that she cannot just have a quiet normal life, she has to be going fast and getting into trouble. I also am seeing her sort of deciding which guy is for her as the stories come out.....not sure who she will end up with in the end, if there is an end, but I like where it is going. Gotta love Lula, Grandma Mazur, Connie and all the other regulars, they are what make these stories just fabulous. "
