Out of bail skippers and rent money, Stephanie throws caution to the wind and follows in the entrepreneurial footsteps of Super Bounty Hunter, Ranger, engaging in morally correct and marginally legal enterprises. So, a scumball blows himself to smithereens on her first day of policing a crack house and the sheik she was chauffeuring stole the limo. But hey, nobody's perfect! Anyway, Stephanie has other things on her mind. Her mother wants her to find Uncle Fred who's missing after arguing with his garbage company; homicidal rapist Benito Ramirez is back, quoting scripture and stalking Stephanie; vice cop Joe Morelli has a box of condoms with Stephanie's name on it; and Stephanie's afraid Ranger has his finger on her trigger. The whole gang's here for mirth and mayhem in Janet Evanovich's High Five. Listen at your own risk in public places.

"Listening to the book on cd while I drive. The narrator is fantastic!Verdict: Very entertaining- suspenseful, funny AND sexy. I know that listening to these books cuts into my valuable NPR time, but I just have to request #6. I can't wait to find out what's coming next for Stephanie! "
— Becky (4 out of 5 stars)
Actress Mazar has just the right sassy streetwise accent to fit the first-person voice of Evanovich's hero, Stephanie Plum. Mazar sounds poised yet real in her role as the New Jersey-based bounty hunter. She gamely throws herself into the dramatic ‘bits' along the way, playing out the dialogue scenes with relish.

— Ocean, 2/2/2014" I think this is the fastest one yet! Don't get me wrong, I really do like these books (otherwise I wouldn't be reading so many) but they are not exactly literary you know? Also, I think I'm understanding Janet E. a little more because I totally pegged the culprit the first time she revealed the character. They are just so funny and entertaining which I really feel I need right now for some reason. I really love the Lula and Grandma Mazur characters too... "
— Jasmine, 1/31/2014" Evil ending. I have to read the next one to find out more. Love these books though! "
— Monique, 1/30/2014" This one nearly killed me until I got my hands on book six!!! "
— Jenn, 1/20/2014" I've learned not to eat or drink while reading the Stephanie Plum books, because there is always at least one spot where it would be very messy otherwise. Definitely funny! "
— Elaine, 1/11/2014" I really have enjoyed these books. Critt does a good job reading the books and Evanovich transports me to a different world while I am taxiing my children to all their activities. These are always good for quite a few chuckles. "
— Jules, 1/3/2014" Cliff hanger. I hope the next one comes in to the library for me tomorrow!!! "
— Carrie, 12/29/2013" Hilarious! I absolutely love Morelli! Ranger is a great character too but I think she needs to be with Morelli. "

— Kris, 12/17/2013" AHHHHHH! Really, that is the way the book ends?! I feel more frustrated than Stephanie at this point. I can't wait to pick up number 6. And I better find out who she called at the end of 5! "
— Angela, 12/16/2013" started with book 1... and I'm stopping here. The story just gets too repetitive "
— Alexis, 12/10/2013" Hmmm... I wonder who is next on the dinner guest list. Randy hit the nail on the head saying she's the sane one. "
— Danni, 10/24/2013" i loved this one even more than 1-4...thanks for never disappointing ms. evanovich.. "
— Lydia, 10/5/2013" Stephanie Plum can get herself in the middle of the most peculiar predicaments. She may not get her FTA immediately, but she gets them in the end. Grandma Mazur is a fiest hoot. I laughed several times through the book. Love them. "
— Roew1, 9/10/2013" Hilarious. I love these books...they are like little treats I dole out to myself when I want a funny book. And there are plenty more to go since I am now only on #6 and she has written up to #19! "
— Kathy, 4/9/2013" I enjoyed this novel. It was a fun, easy read. Sometimes her characters are a bit TOO colorful to be believable, but it was a fun read. "
— Vincent, 1/25/2013" I really enjoy Stephanie Plum. I read a lot of heavy murder/mystery/mayhem and this series gives me the comedic break I need. This series is fun, sexy, and not too dramatic. I will be picking up No.6 from the library this week. "
— Grace, 7/10/2012" Lmao uncle Fred is missing, Granda ma is packing and carrying a stun gun, watch out Grammy Mazur and Lula forge a friendship! "

— Lex, 8/15/2011" Novels one through four were 5star reads but High Five had an extra kick to it! Loving this series. "
— Karen, 5/10/2011" Really cool book. Like the others :) just one thing to say... I really, really hope Ranger gets the black dress dressed Steph (; "

— Amber, 5/6/2011" This funny "numbers" series follows Stephanie Plum, Pacifist bountyhunter, and her dilemmas, trials and relationships. Each book is light and fluffy, not meant for seriousness, but not meant for the overly serious either. "
— Kirsten, 4/27/2011" Read review of "One for the Money". They're all basically the same. "
— Annette, 4/17/2011" LOVED it, so witty and upbeat, even though it's about a girl learning to be a bounty hunter in NJ. "
— Steph, 4/5/2011" Love love love this series!! I especially love the ending of this book...with all of the Ranger and Morelli drama, Evanovich really left you hanging. So glad this is a large series...I can't get enough of the characters. "
