Publisher Description

The #1 bestselling phenomenon continues in the eighth Stephanie Plum novel. The stakes get higher, the crimes get nastier, the chases get faster, and the men get hotter. This time Stephanie, Morelli, Ranger. Lula, Valerie, and Grandma Mazur are strapped in for the ride of their lives. Stephanie is hired to find a missing child. But things aren't always as they seem and Stephanie must determine if she's working for the right side of the law. Plus, there's the Morelli question: can a Jersey girl keep her head on straight when more than just bullets are aimed for her heart? And with the Plum and Morelli relationship looking rocky, is it time for Ranger to move in for the kill? Janet Evanovich's latest thriller proves that Hard Eight will never be enough.

"Was so glad to finally get on with the series. The bunny cracked me up with not being able to be understood. The minute Stephanie said she liked rabbits I knew there would be trouble. Dissapointed with the Ranger turn of events. I was hoping there'd be more answers to his life. Still loving the series."

" Stephanie Plum is up to it again. Chasing FTA, stalked by someone wanting to kill her(Abruzzi), car getting blown up, torn between Morelli and Ranger. She sleeps with Ranger though finally! Which of course only leads to knowing the unknown and what she's missing. In the end she wraps everything up nicely. "

" This is the 11th book in this series that I've read. I'm sort of tired of Stephanie Plum by this point. There's not enough difference in this book from the others to make it interesting. What's annoying about this series that essentially the same set of facts about each character are mentioned over and over. By book 11 you know all the basic facts about everyone, but what's new. Is that all that these people are? With 18 books, you'd think we'd know a lot more about these characters, their motivations, fears, how they think, who are the important people in their lives, their back story. Maybe I expect too much. This isn't supposed to be a novel to enlighten but rather mindless entertainment. If I'm to accept that, then Ms. Evanovich has done her job. "
