A Featured Alternate Selection of the Literary Guild and Doubleday Book Club and a Main Selection of the Mystery Guild Janet Evanovich, bestselling author of One for the Money, Two for the Dough, and Three to Get Deadly, scores big with Four to Score, her most thrilling Stephanie Plum adventure yet. Working for her bail bondsman cousin Vinnie, Stephanie is hot on the trail of revenge-seeking waitress Maxine Nowicki, whose crimes include bail jumping, theft, and extortion. Someone is terrifying Maxine's friends, and those who have seen her are turning up dead. Also on the hunt for Maxine is Joyce Barnhardt, Stephanie's archenemy and rival bounty hunter. Stephanie's attitude never wavers-- even when aided by crazy Grandma Mazur, ex-hooker and wannabe bounty hunter Lula, and transvestite rock musician Sally Sweet-- and even when Stephanie makes an enemy whose deadly tactics escalate from threatening messages to firebombs. All of this pales in comparison, though, with an even greater danger Stephanie faces, when, homeless and broke, she and her hamster Rex move in with a vice cop Joe Morelli. RATED PG35 for licentious wit and libidinous cohabitation.

"This might be my favorite Stephanie Plum yet. She and Morelli made some actual progress in their "relationship," the case was interesting and more off-beat than usual (but somehow a bit more realistic?), and I think I laughed out loud about three times while reading it on the train! "
— Meghan (4 out of 5 stars)
Debi Mazar's streetwise and brash style bring to mind Stephanie Plum's big hair, short skirts, and smart mouth without even hearing her described. In FOUR TO SCORE Atlantic City casinos and escalating threats to Stephanie's safety combine to give the listener a fast and exciting ride through the life of a woman trying to make a living as a bounty hunter. Mazar has a lot of fun, and so will the listener.
— AudioFile" This is not my usual genre, but I enjoyed it anyway. "
— Diane, 2/20/2014" These books just keep getting better and better... I laugh more at her books than I have any others. "
— Diane, 2/19/2014" I'm not ashamed. I love things that make me laugh. This series makes me giggle, especially Grandma Mazur (who reminds me of my Granny). "
— Stephanie, 2/11/2014" Fast fun and funny this is a fun little series and so far hasn't gotten old or boring yet. I like how the author likes to mix up the plot and it isn't super cookie cutter...yet. I know that she will have a problem with her initial case and have fun with the small side cases but they are different and entertaining. Made me pick up the 5th quickly. "
— Alex, 2/8/2014" I felt that the main bounty hunter storyline of this book was a bit boring. I liked the storyline about Sally Sweet, and Stephanie moving in with Morelli to be the more interesting parts of the story. Lula is really starting to grow on me and is quickly becoming a favorite character while I still don't like Ranger. I am excited to read more of the series. "
— Denise, 1/28/2014" These series of books are kind of silly, but I like them anyway. They give me a break from the more serious stories. "

— Evelyn, 10/30/2013" Apologies to those who follow me for the next fifteen books submitted will be the Stephanie Plum series. I binge read the series over the past month. Sometimes I just need to read a series now - and this for whatever reason was it. It was funny and light and made my day sometimes. "
— Julia, 10/25/2013" This was by far the best one so far... can't wait to get into High Five! "

— Joe, 8/23/2013" Fun to read as usual! "
— Debbierandall1, 1/13/2013" So this one was better than first three. "
— Paras, 12/11/2012" Another fun romp; I'm liking this series, although I don't think I'd put up with the lead character if I had to deal with her! I do like her, though. "
— Boneist, 10/14/2012" I loved the character of Sally and the interaction with Grandma Mazur and Lula. "

— Nikki, 11/7/2011" I wish people would stop reviewing these books like they're comparable to actual literature. They're just fun reads, jeez. "
— Ora, 10/24/2011" I really enjoy this series! "
— Michele, 10/7/2011" And my second one today. Geezalou. "

— Rosa, 5/17/2011" This series gets better and better with every read...hilarious, sexy and great character development, terrific plots, which get thicker and thicker! "
— Michelle, 5/15/2011" I read this before, but reread it for book club. There is always a bunch of laughs in every book and some great characters. I have read the whole series. "
— Jan, 5/13/2011" Okay, so Stephanie isn't exactly following protocol... and she is still a novice fumbling around...

What makes her so endearing is she is so real. She says the stuff we think about, we fear, we dread... She is us. We live vicariously through her... "
— Jennifer, 5/3/2011" These books are ok. reasonably entertaining, occasionally funny, but not great. "
— Mark, 5/1/2011" This is a very good series. Many times I found myself laughing while reading. "
— Amber, 4/29/2011" Possibly the best of the series up to this point. Hope Sally comes back. I like how Stephanie is frequently at risk at home; often crime novel protagonists seem bizarrely safe at home despite the "bad guys" knowing who they are. "
— R., 4/29/2011" These are still fun and quick reads. "
— Lauren, 4/22/2011" I liked that reader of the first three books so much better. This reader changed her Stephanie Plum's personality to be more aggressive and bitter than the first three. If someone let me borrow the next ones I might continue, but they aren't worth finding on my own. "
