" I have now read books l-13 and I still like reading about Stephanie Plum. These books actually make you laugh out loud I'm not sure how Janet Evanovich thinks up all the antics she writes about. When I want to read a "no brainer" I pull out one of her books and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. "

" read all of her books. easy reading, character is interesting-situations she becomes involved in are mostly interesting, can usually finish one of her books in a day or so.surprised my husband also reads her novels when he is looking for a "summer reading book". "

" As with all the other books with the character Stephanie Plum, this was very funny and an enjoyable read. It is very light reading, and if you want something light, this is the book for you. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Barb Martin | 2/10/2014

" Typical Stephanie Plum and Janet Evanovich. They help beat the stress with the off-the-wall antics of a less-than-stellar bounty hunter. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kornela | 2/6/2014

" This was a fairly typical Stephanie Plum book. That is, Stephanie had interesting mishaps in her line of work as a bounty hunter, her car was once again kaput, there was the continual back and forth between Ranger and Morelli. Same old, same old. At this stage in the game, the stories tend to get a bit repetitive and stale. So what brings me back? Basically because Stephanie is still very likeable, other characters like Lula and Grandma Mazur are still full of foul-mouthed fun, and the books are a nice, light, and funny read. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Misti | 2/6/2014

" I tried to finish this yesterday. I fell asleep with two chapters to go. I went to bed at 1:00 and I ended up finishing this book and 14. Stephanie's escapades are addicting. I am going to be SOOOOO sad when I read the last one I have Smokin' Seventeen. This series is a blast. I need the escape in my life right now. It's a perfect diversion. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Chris | 2/5/2014

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Season | 2/5/2014

" Loving this series. This one was maybe funnier than some of the others. I am starting to see how Stephanie's regular life just seems to be full of all these obstacles, that she cannot just have a quiet normal life, she has to be going fast and getting into trouble. I also am seeing her sort of deciding which guy is for her as the stories come out.....not sure who she will end up with in the end, if there is an end, but I like where it is going. Gotta love Lula, Grandma Mazur, Connie and all the other regulars, they are what make these stories just fabulous. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Nicky | 2/3/2014

" Another fun adventure with Stephanie, although the humor was less prevalent than in previous books. I did chuckle at the ongoing gag concerning the cable company however. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Shannon | 1/15/2014

" Lean Mean Thirteen was just that. A little meaner than some of the other Plum novels. And a little scarier. But Stephanie still manages to get into the same scrapes while escaping with her life. I have to say, I am never bored reading these books! And they never fail to make me laugh. "

" I've laughed and been shocked through 13 of these books...realized #14 came out last year and I don't think I read it! The plot's wearing a little thin. Marry Morelli, Stephanie, and start making babies for crying out loud! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Danni | 8/14/2013

" This was one of the top five out of the 13 I have read so far. Starting 14 and so far it seems to be a good read once again. Telling if you haven't read of te series of Stephanie Plum you should give them a chance. They are funny and you just never know what she is going to get into next. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Amy | 7/23/2013

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Kaylani | 7/6/2013

" Okay, I have to admit I love Janet Evanovich, and this is my disclaimer. It is totally mindless, immoral, irreverent and far fetched. But I laugh my head off and enjoy the 60 minutes it took to read. Then I go repent. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Ashley | 3/25/2013

" Typical Evanovich - light, quick read. Though after reading this and Metro Girl so close together, I think I need a break - all her stuff is the same and the Ranger/Morrelli storyline is getting old. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Kim | 2/23/2013

" probably the best one of the series (of the ones I've read anyway). But not really a 4 STAR book exactly... "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Julie | 2/20/2013

" I think this was my favorite of the Stephanie Plum novels. I still have to read #14. It seemed like Stephanie was actually doing a pretty good job. LOL! "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 MLT | 2/14/2013

" Like all of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books, this is another laugh-out-loud mindless fun book. I look forward to reading the next one. My job involves doing a tremendous amount of technical reading, and the Plum books are just what I need for the 'off' hours. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Jess | 12/25/2012

" Funny and engaging comedy! Interesting (relateable but completely unrealistic) characters, bizarre and entertaining plot line. Certainly following a formula, but it works. "

" Some real laugh out loud moments in this one... especially concerning the F.T.A. Taxidermist. The Ranger/Morelli "dilema" continues but it's neat to see them working together for our girl Stephanie. Oh how it would be fun/but stressful to be her. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Krazykat | 8/25/2012

" Seems like the formula is set and the details are just being plugged in on this one. Still kept my interest till the end, though. A nice quick read in between some significant literature. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Annette | 4/17/2011

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Sarah | 4/4/2011

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Patricia | 4/3/2011

" Not as good as some of the others in the series but still funny and entertaining. Stephanie is still going through cars, trying to decide on her love life and bringing in people who have failed to appear.
The book gets a little strange with the many murders and attempts on Stephanie's life. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Ak | 3/28/2011

" Read on a plane. These remain ideal airplane/beach reading. It's pretty tiring and dull being constantly told what Stephanie is wearing and eating. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Denise | 3/21/2011

" Results of a couple of boring summers. Funny, but not much of a brain challenge. Way to kill an hour. Am sure by reading thirteen of these books, I'm fully trained to be a bounty hunter in Jersey. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Dee | 3/19/2011

" It wasn't as funny,or sexy as some of the previous books in this series, and really didn't do much to move the plot along toward the next book. Even Grandma Mazur wasn't that funny, and that is very hard to do. Ranger and Steph had some sexy moments, but it was mostly a chaste outing.
