" I have tried to like this book. I actually stopped after a couple of chapters, went on to another book and picked this back up again and I just couldn't complete it. I loved a couple of her other books. Sorry "

" Loved the ending of this book! It was creepy and weird and made me double check my locks! Lisa Jackson has a gift for profiling crazy killers! "

" Good Lisa Jackson. The suspense was very good. Would have given this a 3.5 if that was available. "

" The plot twists made the story ridiculous, which was too bad as the characters were fairly interesting. It could have been so much better. "

  • 5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Diann | 2/9/2014

" This was an excellent read..I was sucked in from the very beginning..love that...trying to figure out who the killer was had me most intriged. "

" Felt like I was re-reading "Left to Die" all over again. Pescoli needs some parenting lessons and Alvarez needs to get a life. Would have been nice to see these characters develop. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Alison | 1/28/2014

" This is a really scary sequal to "Left to Die". A serial killer is on the loose in the Montana mountains and a copy cat killer only confuses the investigation. The killer (no spoiler alert as this was all explained in the first book) shoots out the women's tires, the cars careen over a cliff, then the killer "saves" the women, befriends them, gains their trust, then leaves them in the snow, tied to a tree to die. Who is this Star-Crossed Killer (stars referring to the zodiak) and how is he choosing his victims. The next victim is one of the detectives covering the case. The difference here, she immediately knows her car accident was no accident and that she is in the hands of the killer. This is a fast paced book about her captivity, her resolve to escape, how she puts her police training to good use, and of the man behind the killings. It's also the story of a single woman trying to raise two teenagers and of her relationship with the new man in her life. We've all read about real-life serial killers (I remember the Night Stalker in Southern CA when everyone locked their windows at night). This story has the reader wondering how do you protect yourself against a sniper on roads not well traveled but ones you have to take? Makes me wonder about all the times I drove long distances by myself. "

" I've read all of Lisa Jackson's books and was excited for this serial killer to be caught or killed since Left to Die. I found that it was dragged on, some parts were confusing becuase I felt that it didn't truly come together and I just wasn't happy with it. Her next book comes out Without Mercy in March 2010, hopefully this is one is better. March 2010 is Running Scared. "

" I really love Lisa Jackson. Her suspense books keep me on the edge of my seat. You would think I would have learned by now, after reading all her books, that just when you think you have everything all figured out....you don't. I hate having to wait in between books. "

  • 2 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 52 out of 5 Evie | 10/31/2013

" This book could have been condensed by at least half and combined with the first one of the series making a much better book than either individually. Way to much rehashing of what happened in the first book to keep it moving. "
