"This is the last book of the chronicles of the children of the Red knight. I thought it was a amazing conclusion to the series of the series. if you read the perivous books in this series then you realize that there were many mysteries unsolved for example, whether or not Billy will be able to get out of the past so that he can inherit the big fortune to was past down by his ancestors, in this last volume it doesn't forget about any of the mysteries that was brought up throughout the book and the book solves those mysterious so that the conclusion is satisfactory. I loved how the book gave a "what happened after" type of ending because it lets the readers know what are the current lives of the characters and it feels as if it gives the readers a piece of mind, unlike other books that don't give infomation about the character's after lives and make the readers go crazy bcecause it doesnt feel complete. i loved the happy ending and that everyone gets what they want the most."

" This was a fun ending to a cute series. I was happy with how it all ended and liked the little twists and turns. It was really fun to get to read it 4 months before it is released in the US. "

" Charlie and his friends have to work together to get Billy Raven back from the past and then they have to fight together as a team with all the other Red King's children to keep their town from being drawn into the past. In the process they find that they are stronger. They are able to help Dagbert defeat his father so that he is able to live. Then he turns good like the others. They also discover that Charlie's father Lyell is the Red Knight. That he had never gone on that expedition. Charlie and Billy get to be brothers, because they adopt him. "

" Perhaps because I haven't read a book in this series for a couple of years, or perhaps because it is the last book in the series and just tried to do too much, I just didn't enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the rest of the series. The writing was choppy and simplistic. The story was a bit scattered and erratic. However, under it all, Nimmo characters still retain much of their charm, and the world she created is still fascinating, even if it has lost some of its luster here. "

" The Charlie Bone series was a delight. For a children's series the story is surprisingly unpredictable and this holds true even to the very end. Jenny Nimmo is brilliant. "

" My 8 year old loved this. It's a very interesting series for kids in that there's a lot of magic, supernatural powers, fun characters, interesting bad guys and some suspense. From an adult's perspective (I've read books 1-5 so far), problems are too easily solved. "
