Quotes

  • “Simon Jones blends an invigorated, snappy read with vocal cameos of a host of characters. Among these are the mean, elderly voice of Charlie’s unlikable grandmother, who is suspicious of Charlie’s sleuthing; the squeaky voice of his best friend, Billy; and the growling tones of his supportive Uncle Peyton.”

" I was hoping this would be the last in the series, but it apparently is not - unless Nimmo decided to leave everything unresolved. I read this far because some of the plots were quite interesting and caught my attention. I don't know if I'll read further in the series as the writing continues to be bipolar. "

" Really am enjoying this series. Certainly reminicent of Harry Potter, but I think I may like this series a little better. Also reminds me of the TV show "Heroes" with the different endowments and how they discover them and find out how best to use them. "
