" Born to Die is a spine-tingling story about women who look enough alike to be twins or at least sisters and are being reported as accidental deaths. Alvarez and Pescoli are suspicious and start investigating these questionable "accidents." What they discover is pretty scary and keeps one glued to the open book. Good story! "

" Good story. A bit long, but that could be that the narrator of the book was just awful and boring. I do love this author and will continue to read/listen to her books. "

" The continuation of characters in previous books in this series is welcome, human and credible. The premise begins plausibly but begins to stretch thinner and thinner as more murders occur. This was an enjoyable read up to an unbelievable encounter with a powerful family council, followed by a hurried conclusion. You know when the author writes himself or herself into a corner and has to tie everything up neatly in the last few pages with a narrative or some character doing all the explaining? Alas, that's what happens here, including an taped-on whirlwind romance. I wish I could have liked this one more. "
