Don't miss this spectacular new young adult fantasy series from C.C. Hunter! Born at Midnight will steal your heart and haunt your dreams. Welcome to Shadow Falls camp, nestled deep in the woods of a town called Fallen… One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren't just "troubled." Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world. Kylie's never felt normal, but surely she doesn't belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn't complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek's a half-fae who's determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin' hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn't be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart. Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…

"This book was REALLY good. Like if you haven't read it yet READ IT!!! I mean, come on! Wouldn't you want to go to a camp filled with vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, and witches? Wouldn't you want to be any of those (because that's the only way you can actually go to the camp)? And if you're one to choose sides in a triangle then, WHOOSH. We got a fandom over here! Of course some people consider it to be a "rectangle" but it's not. And above all- WHO IS SHE? WHAT is she? Well wouldn't you like to know! This is book is great if you're into any of this. It's a perfect combination of supernatural and romance and friendship. It discusses many problems many readers may have; something to relate to. Family issues, trust issues, issues about fitting in and finding that special group of people who accept you for who you are. But seriously guys. What supernatural being is Kylie? Read to find out :)"

Kylie is funny and vulnerable, struggling to deal with her real-world life and her life in a fantastical world she's not sure she wants to be a part of. Peppered throughout with humor and teen angst, Born At Midnight is a laugh-out-loud page-turner. This one is going on the keeper shelf next to my Armstrong and Meyer collections!

The author also has a great sense of humor and she has a lot of fun with the shape shifting characters. I recommend this book, though it is far from original. "

— Jessica, 1/14/2013C. C. Hunter is the author of the young-adult fantasy series Shadow Falls. She grew up in Alabama, where she caught lightning bugs, ran barefoot, and regularly rescued potential princes, in the form of Alabama bullfrogs, from her brothers. Today, she is still fascinated with lightning bugs, mostly wears shoes, but has turned her focus to rescuing mammals. She now lives in Texas with her four rescued cats, one dog, and a prince of a husband who, for the record, is so not a frog. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, spending time with her family, or shooting things—with a camera, not a gun.
Katie Schorr is an actor and writer in New York. Her one-woman show, Take Me. Seriously, ran for six months at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, and she performs throughout New York in new works at the Ensemble Studio Theatre and Ars Nova, among other theaters. She has appeared on VH1’s Best Week Ever and costars in the web series Head in the Oven with Saturday Night Live actor Bill Hader. Her audiobook credits include narrating the novels in Alyson Noel’s bestselling Immortals series. Of her work on the series, AudioFile magazine has said, “Narrator Katie Schorr has a wonderfully raspy, youthful voice, which she puts to good effect on the cast of teenage characters.”
