However, it is still very entertaining for me to watch her discover her powers. The end left a little to be desired but I am an adult reading a teen book so I know that I was not the attended audience. lol!"

Kylie is another YA heroine who can't stand choosing over two hot guys and faces the challenges of being a tough kick-ass girl. In this book Kylie attempts to find herself and her nature because in the past year of going to Shadow Falls she has been one of the 'anomalies'. C. C. Hunter is the author of the young-adult fantasy series Shadow Falls. She grew up in Alabama, where she caught lightning bugs, ran barefoot, and regularly rescued potential princes, in the form of Alabama bullfrogs, from her brothers. Today, she is still fascinated with lightning bugs, mostly wears shoes, but has turned her focus to rescuing mammals. She now lives in Texas with her four rescued cats, one dog, and a prince of a husband who, for the record, is so not a frog. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, spending time with her family, or shooting things—with a camera, not a gun.

Katie Schorr is an actor and writer in New York. Her one-woman show, Take Me. Seriously, ran for six months at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, and she performs throughout New York in new works at the Ensemble Studio Theatre and Ars Nova, among other theaters. She has appeared on VH1’s Best Week Ever and costars in the web series Head in the Oven with Saturday Night Live actor Bill Hader.
