Kristen Britain returns to the “lively fantasy” (SF Site) world of the Green Rider.
A thousand years ago the armies of the Arcosian Empire, led by Mornhavon the Black, crossed the great sea and tried to conquer the land of Sacoridia —and during Karigan G’ladheon’s early years as a Green Rider, Mornhavon’s spirit, sensing weakness in his prison walls and seeking vengeance, began to wake. With the ghostly help of the First Rider, Karigan had managed to drive off the spirit of Mornhavon—but for how long, no one could know. And now, the descendants of those Arcosians are ready to strike, reaching out to claim the land their forebears had tried to conquer. Worse, these vengeful enemies had spent generations honing their powers of dark magic—a force against which the Sacoridians had no defense…

"Karrigan is off having more adventures in this third volume of The Green Rider series. Kristen Britain has brought back a few characters that showed up in the first book and it was neat to see them again. We were also introduced to a few more characters. I'm still not sure where this series is going or even how many more books there will be, but I am enjoying reading about all the magical abilities the Green Riders possess and I'm interested to know how Karrigan will handle the new information about her Rider gift."

" It doesnt seem like that is the end of the story. Is there more? "
— Koneko, 2/13/2014" Of the 3 books, this one had more sexual content which affected my overall rating. I enjoyed the story after I got through the first half. It's a fun series, if you like the genre. "
— Debbie's, 2/6/2014" Not the best in the series, in my opinion. Still a good read though. heh, I was slightly disappointed ( only because i wanted to know what happens) and happy, that this wasn't the last book :P. Over all a good book, even thought its not as great as the others, which i think so because it kinda felt like a filler until the next book. I can't wait till the next one ^.^. "
— The, 2/3/2014" Love the books so far , no beef with any one of them. I enjoy all of the characters "
— Heather, 2/2/2014" I really like the author's writing style. She really weaves a great story. I didn't like this one as much as the others, but I still thought it was well done and look forward to the next in the series. "
— Kyla, 2/2/2014" I enjoyed it, but at the same time I was annoyed through the whole book!! "
— Elaine, 1/31/2014" Reread at my parent's house over the weekend. Can't wait for the fourth book! "
— Ali, 1/16/2014" A good plot with new interesting characters reminiscent of the first book when everything was new. Karigan advances through a muddle like her antihero self. knot magic is interesting but I would not have deemed it specifically necromancy. "
— Mf, 1/16/2014" An awesome read, full of vibrant and memorable characters and wild and compelling plot developments, truly a book I would recommend to anyone. Not classic literature, but certainly classic fantasy. "
— 0tree0, 1/14/2014" I really loved the first two, but this one bored me about halfway in. "
— Leigh, 12/3/2013" i loved all of this saga each book took me deeper and deeper into the magic "
— Shawna, 11/27/2013" it was really good cant wait for the next one!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
— Krista, 11/22/2013" The Green Rider series is my favorite series, and The High King's Tomb is my favorite book of the series. It is fast paced with brilliant detail that allows you to easily visualize the story. It's funny, serious, sad, and thought-provoking all in one amazing book. "
— Lyssa, 10/13/2013" I loved this book. I haven't read the first two in a long time, and now I want to go back and reread them. Very good, I just don't know if I can wait as long for the fourth book. "
— Wendi, 9/3/2013" This had better not be the last book! The author couldn't leave us hanging like that! "
— Catherine, 5/22/2013" This is a good book, but not quite as good as the first. "
— Rose, 1/14/2013" Terrific third installment! I love watching Karigan's character grow! "
— Sarah, 11/30/2012" This book dragged a bit, although it didn't seem like it should have. Karigan's a reasonably good character, but the shifting from scene to scene just didn't do it for me. "
— Laurel, 11/17/2012" Not as engaging for me as the second book but still way beter than Green Rider. "
— Scharlotte, 11/9/2012" When will this love mess get fixed! I am very vexed and can't wait until her other book comes out! "
— Ashley, 7/9/2012Kristen Britain grew up in the Finger Lake region of New York State and published her first book, a cartoon collection called Horses and Horsepeople, at the age of thirteen. After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in film production, travel beckoned and she began a career as a ranger with the National Park Service. This enabled her to work in a variety of natural and historical settings, from three hundred feet below the surface of the Earth to thirteen thousand feet above sea level on the Continental Divide; and from the textile mills of the American Industrial Revolution to the homes of Americans who changed the course of history. Currently she lives in an adobe house in the high desert of New Mexico among the hummingbirds and lizards.
