Author Garth Nix

Garth Nix, born in Melbourne, Australia, has worked as a literary agent, marketing consultant, book editor, book publicist, book sales representative, bookseller, and part-time soldier in the Australian Army Reserve, before becoming a full-time writer in 2001. His books include the award-winning fantasy novels Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen and the science fiction adventure A Confusion of Princes. His fantasy novels for younger readers include The Ragwitch, the six books of the Seventh Tower sequence, the Keys to the Kingdom series, and Troubletwisters, cowritten with Sean Williams. More than five million copies of his books have been sold around the world, and his books have appeared on the bestseller lists of the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, the Australian, and London’s Guardian and Sunday Times.

About the Narrators

Nicola Barber is a voice-over actor who can be heard on audiobooks, video games, and international radio and television. Born in England and living in New York, she specializes in accents, including American, Scottish, Irish, Australian, and all dialects of British. She has won two AudioFile Earphones Awards.

Roger Wayne joined the Air Force as a radio and television broadcast journalist in 2004. After basic training he went to Fort Meade to train for military broadcasting. He was stationed in South Korea and won several awards for his work, including Best Radio Commercial military-wide in 2006 and Best Feature Story for the Air Force. He is now an actor living in New York, narrating audiobooks, working on independent film projects, performing off Broadway, and auditioning for major network shows.

Raphael Corkhill grew up in central London and attended the renowned Eton College before moving to the United States to attend Princeton University, after which he completed his MFA acting degree at the University of Southern California. Raphael’s recent credits include the Los Angeles Theatre Center’s production of Short Eyes, A Happy End at the Museum of Tolerance, and Luke Eberl’s latest film, The Movie. Raphael’s voice-over work includes the Weinstein Company’s upcoming feature Lawless and the award-winning short film Wrecks and Violins.

Christian Coulson is an audiobook narrator and an actor best known for his role as Tom Marvolo Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Other film credits include Take Me Back, I Am Nasrine, and Amateurs.

Steven Crossley, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, has built a career on both sides of the Atlantic as an actor and audiobook narrator, for which he has won eleven AudioFile Earphones Awards and been a nominee for the prestigious Audie Award. He is a member of the internationally renowned theater company Complicite and has appeared in numerous theater, television, film, and radio dramas.

Michael Crouch is a six-time winner of the AudioFile Earphones Award for narration. He is a New York–based actor specializing in voice-over. His keen ear and knack for personalizing copy have established him as a flexible and creative national talent.

John Lee, a stage actor and writer and a coproducer of feature films, has narrated more than one hundred audiobooks of every conceivable genre, earning some three dozen Earphones Awards and the prestigious Audie Award.

Polly Lee is an actress from London who has appeared in the off-Broadway shows Lenin’s Embalmer’s, Close Ties, Slag Heap, The October Crisis, and others. She received her BA from London University and an MFA from the New School in New York.

Davina Porter has been enthralling listeners for over twenty-five years with her ability to mine the psychological depths of the characters she reads and bring them convincingly to life. She has been honored as an AudioFile Golden Voice and she also won the prestigious Audie Award in 2006.
