About the Narrators

George Guidall, winner of eighty AudioFile Erphones Awards, has twice won the prestigious Audie Award for Excellence in Audiobook Narration. In 2014 the Audio Publishers Association presented him with the Special Achievement Award for an audiobook narrator of exceptional stature and accomplishment. During his thirty-year recording career he has recorded over 1,100 audiobooks, won multiple awards, been a mentor to many narrators, and shown by example the potential of fine storytelling. Among Guidall’s narration achievements are Crime and Punishment, The Iliad, and John Irving’s A Widow for One Year, which earned him an Audie Award for best unabridged narration of a novel, an honor he captured again for his rendition of Wally Lamb’s I Know This Much Is True. Guidall’s forty-year acting career includes starring roles on Broadway, an Obie Award for best performance off Broadway, and frequent television appearances.

Danielle Ferland performed in her first Broadway musical production, Sunday in the Park with George, at the age of thirteen. She is best known for her Drama Desk-nominated role as Little Red Riding Hood in the original 1987 Broadway production of Into the Woods. She also appeared in theatrical productions of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, and Moliere’s Tartuffe.

Simon Prebble, a British-born performer, is a stage and television actor and veteran narrator of some three hundred audiobooks. As one of AudioFile’s Golden Voices, he has received over twenty Earphones Awards and won the prestigious Audie in 2010. He lives in New York.

David Chandler is an audiobook narrator who has read numerous titles for William Kent Krueger and C. J. Box, among others.

Jessica Almasy is an actress, theater teacher, and award-winning audiobook narrator. She has recorded over eighty titles, including the Earphones Award-winning Clementine series and Operation Yes, for which she won a 2010 Audie Award.

Suzanne Toren has recorded over nine hundred audiobooks. She has performed on Broadway and in regional theaters in works penned by Shakespeare, Molière, and Arthur Miller. She has also appeared on Law & Order and in various soap operas. She was awarded the Narrator of the Year Award for her audiobook recordings for the Library of Congress and has earned more than two dozen Earphones Awards from AudioFile magazine.
