How big is your God? Is He big enough to heal your marriage or heal your child? Is He bigger than a positive MRI or a negative evaluation? Is He bigger than your secret sin or secret dream? In The Circle Maker, Pastor Mark Batterson shares powerful insights from the true legend of Honi the circle maker, a first-century Jewish sage whose bold prayer ended a drought and saved a generation. Drawing inspiration from his own experiences as a circle maker, Batterson will teach you how to pray in a new way by drawing prayer circles around your dreams, your family, your problems, and, most importantly, God’s promises. In the process, you’ll discover this simple yet life-changing truth: God Honors Bold Prayers and Bold Prayers Honor God “Honi the circle maker is a longtime legendary figure, and Mark Batterson is well on his way. You will love the freshness of this approach to prayer.” — John Ortberg senior pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, author of The Me I Want to Be Download and start listening now!

" Sometimes you read a certain book at exactly the right time. The Circle Maker was one of those books. Written by my pastor, Mark Batterson, this book not only provides amazing insight into the rather miraculous origins of DC's National Community Church, but also offers a revolutionary way to think about prayer -- especially praying for The Big Things in life, and particularly when those Big Things don't seem to be happening the way you want them to, or according to your timeline. Will probably be re-reading sections of this for a while. "

" Fresh inspiration for one's prayer life! I highly recommend this book. Very readable. Not dry or boring at all. He goes beyond "simply" prayer with an integrated approach to how it touches and is interwoven with all other aspects of life. In the final chapters Batterson goes into goal setting and how it functions with prayer as well. Thus, if one follows his suggestions, it will change your life in many spheres. "

" Only the best book I've read all year. Maybe even to this point in my life. Mark walks a perfect balance of faith and prayer. He never crosses over into the name it and claim it gospel. It came at a perfect time in my life. Read it! And then, read it again. "

" While some of the examples of making circles are stretched (quail in the desert, etc.) I was very inspired to to pray a LOT more specifically. And the stories really did help to enlarge my vision of our almighty GOD and what we can accomplish when we are fully surrendered to HIM and dreaming BIG. "

" I am having a difficult time with this book. The three circles idea is used in witchcraft, which Christians are told to flee from. Its more of "if you believe, it will come true" type book. "
