Nothing's sexier than an man who can keep a secret.
A typical bachelor party is all about beers and beautiful women. A vampire bachelor party is no different -- except the men are drinking Blissky (whiskey-flavored synthetic blood). And no one can throw a party quite like Jack, the illegitimate son of the legendary Casanova. But when the party gets out of hand and the cops show up, Jack has some explaining to do . . . if only he wasn't struck speechless by the beauty of Officer Lara Boucher.
Lara is sure there's something more than a bachelor party going on. What is Jack hiding? And why is he so interested in the recent disappearance of young women all over town? Her investigation uncovers more than she wants to know, especially about this modern-day Casanova. But if she's ever to make detective, she'll need to expose all his secrets . . . if only her heart wasn't on the line.

"I love the story line of Sparks' books, but I couldn't get into these two characters. It seemed rushed. And what is with all of the main lady characters being either blond or red heads? That might be a little petty, but a little variety in her lady characters would be nice, I think Sparks is making them all look her. So far Ian and Toni's story are my favorite."

“An absolute delight!”

— CeCe, 11/2/2013" Another winner in this series that can be successfully read alone but is even better when read as part of a series. The story of Jack and Lara is great fun, imagine the son of Casanova as a vampire who can't or rather won't find love... meeting a Louisiana beauty queen turned NY Cop... "
— Lavendersbluegreen, 9/30/2013" Love conquers all. "
— Beth, 7/31/2013" Really enjoyed the humor in the first half of the book (would have rated it a 4), but in the second half I grew weary of her him-hawing on the romance angle. I'd love to have a novel about Phil. "
— Katie, 7/12/2013" Love Jack! He's a flawed hero and Lara is determined to uncover his secrets. This one hit my Keeper Shelf. "

— Beckey, 5/15/2011" Pure Romance!!! Theres nothing more romantic than a hero from Venice deeply in love with a stubborn woman!!! A lil too cheesy for my taste... But still a great book!!! "

— Megan, 4/22/2011" Delicious and sweet hero, smart-most-of-the-time heroine, maybe a little predictable and with some cheesy bits thrown in here & there, but still terrific brain candy paranormal romance. This is book 6 in the series, Jack and Lara's story. "
— Linda, 4/4/2011" This story was not as great as the rest although I have always loved Jack's character. Still nice light read. "

— Lazos, 1/20/2011" I enjoyed this book, but the characters were a little flat. I hope it doesn't continue, but I see a pattern that only the Scottish vamps have great chemistry with their heroines. "
— Carla, 1/11/2011" I laughed til I cryed in the book...Lara a police officer trys to break up Ian's bachelor party and when Jack trys to convince her to leave he finds she is immune to his power. Lots of old favorites are in this book and it was a great read. I love this series! "
