Publisher Description

#1 New York Times bestselling author of American Assassin—now a major motion picture

Vince Flynn’s thrilling bestseller sends counterterrorist agent Mitch Rapp on a collision course with America’s most feared enemy.

No longer willing to wait for the international community to stop its neighboring enemy, Israel brings down Iran’s billion-dollar nuclear program in an ingeniously conceived operation. The attack leaves a radioactive tomb and environmental disaster in its wake, and has Iranian president Amatullah calling for blood—American blood. Seeing opportunity where others fear reprisals, Mitch Rapp devises a brilliant plan to humiliate Iran’s government and push the nation to the brink of revolution. But when a back-channel meeting between CIA director Irene Kennedy and her Iranian counterpart goes disastrously wrong, Rapp is locked in a showdown with a Hezbollah mastermind in league with Amatullah—and he is given twenty-four hours to do whatever it takes to stop unthinkable catastrophe.

"As usual, Vince Flynn continues to write another page turner. However, it wasn't the page turner it usually is until just over half way through the book, then the author owned me like he usually does. That second half took off at lightening speed and their was one thing happening after another that made me unable to lay the book down. The problem was that I don't think their was resolution on all of the problems launched at America by the Iranians. I felt like once their victim of kidnapping was handed back, they forgot about all of the other accusations against them. I would like to have known how they resolved the scenarios with the submarine, and falsifying evidence of bribery. Hopefully they are addressed in book nine, which I am anxious to read."

" I've read most of Flynn's books featuring Mitch Rapp and have loved them all. This one, which involves middle eastern terrorists and the kidnapping of the Director of the CIA, is good but not great. The plot seems a little weak, and Mitch's feats seem to approach the unbelievable. I would recommend to fans of Flynn, but not as a first book to listen to. "

" Uber-agent Mitch Rapp is fighting the terrorists again. In this book, he goes up against the Iranians. An Israeli agent manages to penetrate and destroy an Iranian nuclear facility. The Iranians blame the US. In retaliation, they capture and hold the director of the CIA hostage. Rapp's job is to rescue her. Most of the action takes place in Mosul Iraq. The book depicts the crazed Iranian government directed by Hezbollah terrorists. "

" This is a fun Rapp adventure in which Rapp and Kennedy work to uncover a terrorist plot and Rapp goes crazy as usual when he interrogates some of the terrorists. Nothing new here, just a fun read in this series. Also probably the shortest in the series to date. "
