"Having read a couple of Dr. Cloud's books previously, this one looked interesting to me. I've been meeting guys lately, but they are not usually what I'd call "quality men." So I got the book from Audible and have been listening to it. Dr. Cloud promises to have you dating in 6 months, so I'm journalling my progress on my OKCupid page. I need to make friends more than anything else, but I often fall into the same ruts as he discusses int he book, and as many others. I mentioned this book to a friend and said Assignment 1 is "write down every eligible man you meet for a month." She said "that's easy: zero!" I said unless she was a shut-in that's literally IMPOSSIBLE and even if she is a shut-in, she might have a plumber or electrician or mailman or pizza delivery guy so that's no excuse. I'm working my way through it but I'm hopeful."

" Lately I've been driving myself crazy with dating books, but this book is pretty solid. Definitely worth picking up. I guess the one big takeaway for me was that if you date someone you normally wouldn't consider (given that they are a safe person) you could really learn something about yourself and maybe even discover something you'd like about a person you never thought you would (or didn't like). "
— Christina, 2/18/2014" started reading this book in october... i get bored with it and read more interesting books along the way but still pick it up from time to time...or maybe i'm just in denial about my so-called love life LOL... i'm not really much of a "self help" book reader anyway but someone told me it had some good points in it... "
— Beth, 2/15/2014" Some good suggestions in this book, but I left it feeling like something is wrong with me because I am still single. "
— Kate, 2/8/2014" besides the specific dating-related stuff, there's just some solid advice here on how to enjoy life more. it's definitely a christian book, but not at all obnoxiously so, and not in a way that makes it irrelevant to people of other persuasions. "
— Alissa, 2/5/2014" OK, I've found that one should read one of his books at a time! I just started listening to this one this morning and found it paralleled perfectly to "how people grow" and I now wonder just how much my brain can hold without exploding! So far it is a great read/listen, something that I know I will put to good use as it is practical teaching on how to find that date worth keeping...and I'm only on chapter 5! "
— Alicia, 1/30/2014" A sensible approach to Christian dating. "
— Julie, 1/29/2014" This is the most helpful book ever and I think everyone (especially all my fellow single friends) should read it with me! Cloud has a realistic and reasonable grasp on the dating world and I think he gives feasible and positive advice that leads to success in dating. "
— Jo, 1/18/2014" Good stuff here. "
— Dan, 1/17/2014" My friends are calling this book the "bible" of dating. It has a lot of logic behind dating that was worth the read, but it did become very repetitive toward the end. "
— Emily, 1/16/2014" I haven't read Boundaries, but this one totally changed my view on dating and finding the issues that keep you from having healthy relationships (with anyone- friends family and dates). "
— Jane, 1/15/2014" Checked this book out from the library in order to laugh over it with friends. Ended up following its advice and two days later met the man who's now my husband. So yes, I absolutely recommend this to any single Christian looking to not be single any more. "
