Ambitions unfurl in this second novel of The Black Jewels Trilogy, as the realm's dreams of a liberator have finally been made flesh... Jaenelle, singled out by prophecy as the living embodiment of magic, is haunted by the cruel battles the Blood have fought over her-for not all of them await her as their Savior. " Daemon! OH Daemon! How could this happen? I don't care what anyone else says, Daemon is my favourite of the line. Yes, okay, his father Saetan is very sexy and his brother Lucivar is hot. Still, in this second story, I felt sorry for all the SaDiablo members. I did like reading about Jaenelle growing up. Her time with Lucivar brings a smile to my face. All these blood coming together for a time when Witch will make people pay, it's pretty heady. At times, I find this story to be young adult and then other times I find it to be sensually erotic. "

" This book was a little better than the first. It wasn't quite as shockingly disturbing. I thought that the story jumped around a lot and it introduced a lot of new characters but failed to develop them very well. You really only get to know Lucivar in this book. I was confused often when the other characters were mentioned because there were a lot, but they were so seldom mentioned that you tended to forget who they were and where they came from! It kept me interested enough to continue reading the series. "

" What you don't know can still hurt you. More than that, it will hurt your closest friends. When you've finally had enough, your ability to seek punishment for those who harm the ones you love will be precisely what they deserve. "

" first book in ages I couldn't make myself finish. the first installment in the series intrigued me but had problems... all the problems still there in this one and it just didn't do anything for me. disclaimer- I only read 3 chapters. so this may not be fair of me. "

" It was horrible! So MeLoDrAmAtIc!!!!! But unfortunately, like a horrible wreck on the interstate, you can't help but watch it until the ambulance arrives. Guess I will be reading the next smutty smut book in this serries. "

" Book Two in the series continues right where the first leaves off. There really isn't much description about Daemon in this one, but you will get to watch Jaenelle grow up with the father of her heart and her real family and friends. There were a lot of great moments in this book. "

" This series is unlike anything I've read and I find it mesmerizing. The story is about Janelle, but it is never told from her perspective. I can't wait to read the final book in the trilogy, the characters and their hardships are so engrossing. READ THIS SERIES, you will NOT be disappointed. "

" Ac je kniha úžasná, zdála se mi trochu... táhlá. Samozrejme, že je stejne perfektní, jako její dve sestry, ale z knihy me asi nejvíce bavily scény s Daemonem (a jeho šílenstvím) - ty ostatní jsem tak trochu "pretrpela". Receno v dobrém.. x)) "

" They are people too. That's what i think about the character. I can feel their passion, its just like i step into their world, and wish that's its my world too. In this book i can watch the grown of each character, of course i can't erase that hopefully this trilogy had satisfiying ending. "
