Dear Reader, Being trapped in a bedroom with a woman is a grand thing. Being trapped in hundreds of bedrooms over two thousand years isn't. And being cursed into a book as a love-slave for eternity can ruin even a Spartan warrior's day. As a love-slave, I know everything about women. How to touch them, how to savor them, and most of all, how to pleasure them. But when I was summoned to fulfill Grace Alexander's sexual fantasies, I found the first woman in history who saw me as a man with a tormented past. She alone bothered to take me out of the bedroom and onto the world. She taught me to love again. But I was not born to love. I was cursed to walk eternity alone. As a general, I had long ago accepted my sentence. Yet now I have found Grace--the one thing my wounded heart cannot survive without. Sure, love can heal all wounds, but can it break a two-thousand-year-old curse? Julian of Macedon

"OMG I totally finished reading this book in 1 day. I was up till 4am (have to be at work at 8:00) but I finished it anyway and it was really good. I just couldn't put it down, no way. Julian and Selena and Grace, I loved them all. Selena is just the kind of best friend any girl could ask for. Grace was also one of the more likeable heroine's I have come across. She seemed genuine and without all the drama. She didn't see herself short and stuck to her beliefs. I also loved Julian he was so serious at times and funny but then he also had a deeper passion within him and emotions very few ever cared to see. ***Spoiler Alert*** I do hate that his struggle with not having sex with her was sort of lacking. They really didn't show a lot of his struggle and there was also a lot of Greek history involved in the storyline. I, not being in any way a historian, didn't catch most of it but again it was not actually necessary to understand all of it to understand the story. Favorite part - babies at the end and when Selena took him to the tarot stand with her for the day. All in all a good start to what is sure to be an exciting series."

"Sherrilyn Kenyon has created an extremely sexy and wonderfully creative novel that will spice up readers' lives. Not only is the book sensual and exciting, but it is filled with poignant emotion and tender love. Quite a read!
— RT Book ReviewsFun, fresh, and fabulous! Sherrilyn Kenyon's imagination is a bright as her future.
— Teresa Medeiros, author if A Kiss to RememberBy turns funny and touching, Fantasy Lover is a compelling story that will make you laugh out loud. The gods haven't been this much fun since Xena!
— Susan Krinard, author of Secret of the Wolf" I loved this book. I looked online and found this was the first of the series. The greek gods, mythology, characters- they are wonderfully developed. It's an interesting twist on vampires, werewolves, ancient greeks, ancient gods, etc. "
— Milee, 2/5/2017" Mainly a love story, not much action. Did not hold my interest. "
— Kathleen, 2/17/2014" what a disappointment - this book was not interesting, the characters lacked development and i just didn't care what happened. I had high hopes for this series, as i had read numerous great reviews, but i really didn't find one thing to enjoy in this book. "

— Deb8coach, 1/24/2014" My gosh, I read this books years ago and I think I must have liked it back then. This book was one of those books that I wasn't supposed to be reading, but hey I had no clue what I was getting myself into. In this case, curiosity delighted the cat. Fantasy Lover was my first taste of paranormal romance. All I can remember about this book is that the characters had sexy names and there were a lot of actions going on in this book, seriously. "
— Cam, 1/21/2014" I read this book a while ago and forgot to write a review, so I'll be brief. I do remember it was so much fun to read. A word of caution, it did keep me awake. "
— Susan, 1/8/2014" I loved this book,it had a great story line that wasn't cheesy. It also didn't start out with the hot scenes and let the reader yearn for it. "

— Rosalinda, 5/9/2011" I really loved this book, and some of those that come after it in the series. My favorite character was definitely Eros (Cupid) and the fist and last scene with him in the bopk are the best parts of the Dark-Hunter series so far! "
— Jamie, 5/6/2011" i love the sherrilyn kenyon dark hunter books and this was another good one she always mixs just the right amount of romance and action "
— Melissa, 5/4/2011" Sherrilyn Kenyon did an awesome job of developing Julian and making him multideminsional. Grace and Selena were kind of blah in my opinion and seemed run of the mill for female romance characters. The typical one note 'plain-jane' and her adventurous, outgoing friend that pushes her along. "
