In the ethereal world of dreams, there are champions who fight to protect the dreamer and there are demons who prey on them... In Sherrilyn Kenyon's The Dream-Hunter, Arik is such a predator. Condemned by the gods to live eternity without emotions, Arik can only feel when he's in the dreams of others. For thousands of years, he's drifted through the human unconscious, searching for sensation. Now he's finally found a dreamer whose vivid mind can fill his emptiness. Dr. Megeara Kafieri watched her father ruin himself and his reputation as he searched to prove Atlantis was real. Her deathbed promise to him to salvage his reputation has now brought her to Greece where she intends to prove once and for all that the fabled island is right where her father said it was. But frustration and bad luck dog her every step. Especially the day they find a stranger floating in the sea. His is a face she's seen many times.... in her dreams. What she doesn't know is that Arik holds more than the ancient secrets that can help her find the mythical isle of Atlantis. He has made a pact with the god Hades: In exchange for two weeks as a mortal man, he must return to Olympus with a human soul. Megeara's soul. With a secret society out to ruin her expedition, and mysterious accidents that keep threatening her life, Megeara refuses to quit. She knows she's getting closer to Atlantis and as she does, she stumbles onto the truth of what Arik really is. For Arik his quest is no longer simple. No human can know of a Dream-Hunter's existence. His dream of being mortal has quickly turned into his own nightmare and the only way to save himself will be to sacrifice the very thing he wanted to be human for. The only question is, will he?

"I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's use of Greek Gods and Mythology in her stories. When a vengeful brother decides to take his anger out on his movie actor other brother Aiden , Godess Leta comes to the rescue. This was a great story that kept me wanting to know more about why Aiden is so angry and wont let anyone near him. I cant wait till the next Sherrilyn Kenyon book."

“The incomparable Kenyon parallels her Dark-Hunter series in this newest release by focusing attention on a previously mentioned species, the Oneroi, or Dream gods. Longtime fans are also given more clues to the true identities and future roles of several continuing characters from the Dark-Hunter series. The depth and complexity of Kenyon’s remarkable paranormal world never cease to amaze.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)“I love the world that Kenyon has so painstakingly developed over the years. And with this new series, she's delved into new territory that is sure to delight old fans as well as new ones.
— Romancing the BookLove it!!!!
— My Vamp FictionAn engaging read.
— Entertainment Weekly on Devil May CryKenyon's writing is brisk, ironic, sexy, and relentlessly imaginative. These are not your mother's vampire novels.
— The Boston Globe on Dark Side of the Moon" You gotta to be kidden me...really...seriously... "
— Crazy4more, 2/19/2014" Loved this book. It was very heartwarming. Although I have to say it seems Persephone is a get out of hell free card. "
— ~Mel, 2/15/2014" Decent fantasy, decent romance. Not Kenyon's best but a good "brain candy" read "
— Maureen, 2/14/2014" This book felt a lot different to me than the other Dark hunter books I think because it as in a totally different setting. I felt the ending had been a little rushed but overall I liked it. "
— Heather, 2/8/2014" This book was ok, but SHORT. I read this on my ereader and thought I didn't download the whole thing. The entire story basically takes place in a cabin. I'm really not liking her Dream Hunters, and why does she include them as part of the Dark Hunters series? As I was reading it, I kept thinking I was missing something. I wanted more of a story to lead up to what Ms. Kenyon put out as a book. Tsk, tsk, tsk... I have no clue what she was thinking. The one bright side is that finishing this book gets me closer to Ash's book :) "
— ~Vixhen~, 12/28/2013" I rated this high for the ending. It was such a chore for me to read this one and I adore the entire series. The end redeemed the whole book for me. "
— Chris, 12/19/2013" Again, the Dream-Hunter series isn't really impressing me. It is good Kenyon, but I'm more partial to the Dark Hunter. "
— Jerrie, 12/2/2013" 1st one I've read of this series -- it was edgy and definitely out of the box ... not sure if it turned me on to the series tho ... "
— Angelica, 11/24/2013" Nice sweet story, but not one of Kenyon's outstanding books. Still, a quick read for light evening entertainment. "
— Judithe, 3/27/2013" This one seemed faster than the other books. It was shorter, which surprised me. I wonder if it's related to the Dream Hunter being female? The happy ending wasn't a surprise. After Persephone talked to Aidan, I was expecting what happened. "
— Cassandra, 3/12/2013" Not the best Dark-Hunter I've read so far...it wasn't as exciting and powerful. I'm pretty sure it is a novella, which also surprised me. I did enjoy the holiday gatherings at the end though! Especially Acheron's little foreshadowing moment with Kat that he didn't quite understand. "
— Shannon, 12/21/2012" This was a very short read, but the extras at the end were fun. "
— Julia, 12/18/2012" Nothing special about this book AT ALL. Honestly, I am disappointed. It was something I'm sure Ms. Kenyon churned out in a month or so and just something to add to the incredible number of books in this series. But I guess I am just not a fan of the Dream-Hunters. Give me more Weres! "
— ALM188, 9/4/2012" It was a very interesting book. Not one of my favorites "
— Syreeta, 4/22/2012" Disappointing book. I love this realm but was totally unhappy that I spent money to buy it on kindle. "
— Tanya, 3/19/2012" Aiden was a bit whiny for my taste but I liked the ending. And I LOvED the extrA story in te back. That's why I have to go with five stars. It was nice to catch up with everyone. The man story was a bit short but had good action. I love my dark hunter wares and dream hunters. "
— Nyimah, 3/13/2012" honestly it was just an okay read. very nice if you are looking for a short read. "
— Jodie, 2/13/2012" This was a bit too preachy for me. It seemed like every other page there was an internal monologue about the importance of being loved. Even though it was only a short story, it took me at least a week to read it... which says a lot. "
— Jaxta, 12/4/2011" Quick read! Good read! Love it as always. "
— Erin, 11/29/2011" This one was a bit different, and seemed kind of out of order, some people referenced in it , were at this point in my reading in a totally different part of thers lives? I know im reading them in order based on her own site. Still an amazing read!! love love love her books ! "
— Laurie, 10/26/2011" I liked the mythological aspect of it, but overall it was so cheesy. I still enjoyed it though! It's a great guilty pleasure sort of read. "
— Rebecca, 9/22/2011" It might be labeled as a dark-hunter novel, but that's only because it somewhat guest stars Acheron... For those of you interested in the dark-hunter series as I am, DO NOT get this book. Over-all, though, a decent read. "
— Michael, 9/17/2011" I liked this book, however didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would. This book does not hold the same style of writing as the rest of her books. I would recommend this book, but S.K's other books have more of an edge to them with a snappier sense of humor. "
— Molly, 9/13/2011" very good book, love the dark-hunter series. once you pick it up you don't want to put it down. "
— Grandmaking553, 9/13/2011" This one was cute. I liked the ending. And I so should have read in order because I have already read Acheron so I know things lol "
— Brandy, 9/5/2011" This book could have been read 1st before the other Dark-Hunter books. I'm glad I didn't though. I can't wait to read the Chronicles of Nick! I'm always glad I read Sherrilyn's books! "
— Ceej, 8/18/2011" This book was really good. I loved the story behind it, and it was really hot. Also, the cover didn't have a picture of some half naked chick all over some half naked guy. (ya know, it makes it kindof awkward to buy books like that, when your parents like to see waht your reading. lol) <br/> "
— Kameron, 7/31/2011" Not the best I've read, but definitely in keeping with the Dark-Hunter universe "
