"I think this book is really my favorite from the series so far, and it's even a Dream-Hunters book! This really gives me high hopes for the Acheron book, which I was already expecting to kick ass. The brooding, angry, character was done *way* better in this book than the last one. It was a good progression, nice new characters, and it was fun to be able to identify the side characters from all the ... 14 other books that I've already read in the series. I have to say, though, if this book wasn't good, I'm not sure I'd be able to keep pushing through this seris. I found myself longing for a Rachel Morgan book, or a new Anita Blake book during the prior Dark-Hunter/Dream-Hunter book (14), but this one kept me thoroughly entertained."

Humor, snappy dialogue and general character crankiness make this one of Kenyon's most entertaining. The interplay between characters is lively, and the plot threads twisty--all leading to a most excellent adventure.
— RT Book Reviews" Fun book. Interesting twists that I wasn't expecting at all. :) "
— Samie, 2/18/2014" Eeeeek They are getting better! I can't freakin' wait to get my hands on Ash!!!! "

— Monet, 2/16/2014" Xypher uses his time on earth well: he finds Simone, friendship, love, and his purpose. His goal for his time away from Tartarus is to kill Satara because her cruelty was what landed him in hell in the first place. But after he meets Simone and Jesse his life changes. Simone discovers some secrets about her past and we find where the Charonte demons and the lone Dimme demon went to. Great read!! "
— Rebecca, 2/6/2014" Maybe I should be not admitting that I enjoyed reading this, but it is a fun creative (albeit smutty) read. I paid a quarter for it at the library, and it was totally worth that quarter!! :) "

— Sabrina, 12/6/2013" Xypher and Simone "
— Casey, 11/7/2013" The more books I read in the Dark Hunter series the better they get. I loved Simone and Xypher's story!! I love Sherrilyn's writing and how she weaves characters in and out of different books. I can't wait to read the next book -- which features Archeron!!!! "
