Cards on the Table: A Hercule Poirot Mystery Audiobook

" I would've been overly critical of this audio book if Hugh Fraser had not been absolutely perfect. I have read the book, and it is one of my favorite Christie novels. This is also the first appearance of Ariadne Oliver, who appears to be Dame Agatha parodying herself. The characters are varied, as are their crimes. Fraser, who played Hastings on the "Poirot" TV series, is a top notch narrator, deftly portraying all the characters in the book. He really is the best Ariadne Oliver, too. "

" This book started off really intriguing but I got a little bored through most of it. The last 100 pages ended up having me unable to put it down as Poirot was close to telling us who did it........ "

" I am a HUGE fan of both Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot. This book is no exception. It was a great book, well written and the mystery, as usual, kept me puzzled until the end. My reason for the low stars really has nothing to do with the book and more to do with the fact that I know less than nothing about the game of Bridge, for which this story is loosely based around, considering the murder was committed during such a game. After researching the game on Wikipedia, I am interested in going back and reading the book again to see if the star rating can be increased. I'll update once I have. "
