"I really enjoyed reading how Sarah Booth went out to Hollywood and tried to act again. This to me is the best book in the whole series so far. We get to see another ghost where she is staying and her friends come to see her in Costa Rica as well. I hope the author will be putting out a new book soon."

“Funny, ingenious…and delightful.”
— Dallas Morning News“Stephanie Plum meets the Ya-Ya Sisterhood! Non-Southerners will find the madcap adventure an informative peek into an alien culture.”
— Kirkus Reviews“Light, breezy, and just plain fun. Call Haines the queen of cozies.”
— Providence Journal-Bulletin" ok book, my least favorite of the series "
— Heidi, 2/15/2014" I enjoy this cozy series but found this to be the weakest. I don't think moving the action out of Mississippi was wise; the characters lacked the charm of the previous books. Of course the cliff hanger ending leaves one wanting for more. I will continue to read these books and hope this one is just a bump in the road of Sarah Booth's tale. "
— Daniele, 2/8/2014" One of the dumbest stories and worst written books ever. "
— Rebecca, 2/2/2014" I was really disappointed with this book. I have previously loved the series. In this the main character, a southern ex-daddy's girl, moves to Hollywood for her second chance at making it as an actress. The setting of Hollywood didn't translate well for the southern lady. It was awkward and her "Southerness" was displaced. It wasn't this fun charming story about her roots, and the ties that she has. It became this forced plot, and awkward dialogue. What works in the south for these books doesn't seem to work as well set someplace else, at least for this book. I'm hoping it was a fluke. "
— Krystal, 1/21/2014" This book is an easy read. I love Mississipi authors and I actually heard Carolyn Haines read aloud the first chapter of this book at my local independent book store. "
— Marcia, 1/9/2014" Another really goodbook in this series. "
— Joanne, 1/6/2014" Super siebter Teil der "Bones"-Reihe. :) "
— Meike, 12/27/2013" it was okay...readers need to start at the beginning of the series to get the full experience of the character "
— Julie, 12/27/2013" I really enjoyed reading this book - it was a nice and easy read. I just wish the book would have kept on going and going.... I could have kept reading more. I think I'll have to look for more books by this author. "
— Tina, 12/20/2013" More adventures with Sarah Booth Delaney and Tinkie. A fun read as usual. "
— Betty, 12/11/2013" Quick read. Fun and flirty! Fairly clean murder mystery that has fun twists and turns. Good for spending some girl time with some fun characters. "
— Desi, 12/5/2013" Good read. I always enjoy Carolyn Haines novels. "
— Lyn, 11/25/2013" Brain candy mystery "
— Pfoos, 11/2/2013" This is my favorite in the Sarah Booth Delaney series so far. I loved that she was finally in a happy place in her personal relationship ~ yeah for Graf! he knows how to pamper a southern lady! :D The end of the book made me anxious to grab the next in the series and keep on reading. "
— Lauri, 9/2/2013" Not as good as the rest of the series, she needs to stick with the south. But now I need to know what is happening... "
— Kandy, 6/12/2013" This is the second book I've read in the series. I havent' read them in order so it was hard for me to see the jump from Private Investigator to Movie Star. The author didn't explain it in the beginning but actually in the middle towards the end of the book. Once I got into it, I really enjoyed it. "
— Mary, 1/5/2013" Still enjoying the antics and surprises of Sarah Booth Delaney. Two read, seven to go. "
— Cindy, 8/26/2012" I read this book for an around-the-world challenge because it was quite literally the only book available in my library that was about Costa Rica. I would recommend for a summer read on the beach or when you're on a long flight. "
— Nadine, 8/2/2012" I really enjoy this series. "
— Ann, 6/18/2012" Entertaining little book. Quick read. Book is a mystery about ghosts and spirits. Is it a ghost or is it a person who is causing problems on a movie set? You'll have to read to find out. "
— Sue, 2/10/2012" Wishbones was a fun quick read. Would definitly read more of these mysteries for an easy beach book. "
— emigrazia, 11/17/2011" I was glad to see Sarah Boothe back in the Delta and I thought this was a good story and seemed to freshen up the series. It definitely held my interest and I'm hoping in the future to see her back with Coleman or Harold... "
— Wendy, 6/19/2011" Good book. Reminds me of the Stephanie Plum novels but I feel the characters evolve throughout the story. Good book to pick up on the beach. "
— Tyson, 5/20/2011" Genetically modifying bol weevils and causing a CDC epidemic? Stretches credibility a bit. Then Sarah Booth is married to Hollywood hunk Graf Milieu. Add this one to the ridiculous pile. "
— Clare, 2/26/2011" I loved this book but it was the one in the series that had me in tears. I was completely engrossed in the story till the very end. "
— Katie, 12/15/2010" This book would have been five stars except I felt that the ending was too rushed. I finished reading and had to review how we got to the end, the twists just happened too fast. "
— Joanne, 9/3/2010" Is she an actress or a PI? this is the first book I've read in the Sarah Delaney Booth series. An illness is attacking Sarah Booths friends and neighbors and it takes the CDC to get involved. Southern charm, laughter some steamy scenes and a little heart ache. "
— Mascanlon, 8/28/2010" Carolyn Haines' series of the Sarah Booth Delaney PI team is great. It's in the south, Mississippi, gives great mystery read. I have now read 6 in this series and each one gets better than the last. "
— Jerri, 5/10/2010" I just finished my first Carolyn Haines book, Greedy Bones, but it won't be my last. Adorable cozy with plenty of twists and mayhem. Unique starlet as the protagonist is likeable and unexpected. I ordered more of the Bones series. Kudos to Haines! "
— Susan, 4/11/2010" Entertaining addition to the Sarah Booth Delaney mysteries set in the Mississippi Delta, complete with a resident Haint! "
— Julia, 4/10/2010" I think I've read a few of these books, but I'm not sure. It was pretty entertaining. Nice southern ghost, kind of like the one in Finch whose name escapes me at the moment. "
— Ruth, 3/20/2010" Better than the other book I read in the series...slightly more believable. I won't be reading any more, though. "
— Rebecca, 2/23/2010" I have only rave reviews for this book. It's definitely a page -turner!! It is suspenseful, gritty, and sure to keep you reading non-stop. I recommend anyone to read this book for mystrerious action!! "
