"New author for me....I have enjoyed her writing. The book moves along at a steady flow. I am able to understand the story even though I did not read book one. This book picks right up and you can understand the storyline. Finding the hook of the book is easy. Love Mavis and her gift of hospitality. Also love the storyline given to the animals! I am a person who loves shooting and I come from the land of Annie Oakley...so I identified with this storyline and the love for guns! I found this book to be one the reader could believe in. I would read another book by this author."

“The characters are amazing—fully defined and believable. The storyline flows evenly, and there is something for everyone: romance, secrets, even the occasional bad guy.”
