Publisher Description

A Romantic Times Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, CBA best-selling author Tracie Peterson is acclaimed for her blend of romance and adventure. In Hearts Aglow, Deborah Vandermark is pursuing her interest in medicine beside her beau Dr. Christopher Clayton. But she's blindsided when Christopher ends their relationship to return home to his troubled family.

"Another great historical fiction book by Tracie Peterson. The novel Hearts Aglow continues the saga of Deborah Vandermark and her family. In this novel, Peterson delves further into the racial injustices the African-American people suffered in the late 1800's in Texas. Once again, she weaves Christian values and beliefs into the plot in a very meaningful way. I thought this novel was even better than the 1st novel in the Strike a Match series."

Quotes

  • “Peterson takes on more than romance in the second book of the Striking a Match series. The story twists and turns as it follows the lives of men and women who pray for love and justice.”

" I like the way she writes. She is a christian writer and has her characters reference the scriptures many times in their day to day activities. There are always problems that come but they look and listen to God to help them out. There is nothing bad in her books. "

" I love the first book of this series but I loved this one even more, I couldn't put it down. The story line kept be reeled in, I started and finished it in less than 12 hours. I haven't done that in a long time. Getting ready to read the 3rd and final book, I can't wait to see what comes next. "
