Her face, so pale when she’d removed her cloak, had bloomed when her hand had taken the sword. Her eyes, so heavy, so somber, had gone as brilliant as the blade. And had simply sliced through him, keen as a sword, when they’d met his.…
In the kingdom of Geall, the scholarly Moira has taken up the sword of her people. Now, as queen, she must prepare her subjects for the greatest battle they will ever fight—against an enemy more vicious than any they have seen. For Lilith, the most powerful vampire in the world, has followed the circle of six through time to Geall.
Moira also has a personal score to settle. Vampires killed her mother—and now, she is ready to exact her revenge. But there is one vampire to whom she would trust her soul…
Cian was changed by Lilith centuries ago. But now, he stands with the circle. Without hesitation, he will kill others of his kind—and has earned the respect of sorcerer, witch, warrior, and shape-shifter. But he wants more than respect from Moira—even though his desire for her makes him vulnerable. For how can a man with an eternity to live love a woman whose life is sure to end—if not by Lilith’s hand, then by the curse of time?

"This is my favourite in the series due mainly to the interaction between 'the little queen' Moira and Cian (simply adore the tall silent type)but to say any more can ruin the ending. As usual Nora does not have a typical tale, there are some surprises. I needed the tissues more with this one but having read them one after the other I felt personally involved in the story. There is the usual collection of humour and realistic discourse between the characters, with the action being nail-biting in parts. Loved the book, adore the series."

“As war befalls the kingdom, Roberts brings the same precise, resonant energy to battle scenes that make her sexual interludes shine, grounding magic, dragons, and vampires in a believable world. The truest moments of this novel, however, belong to Roberts’s fully formed characters, especially in the love sacrifices of Moira and Cian. Completing her series with the real-world complications of selfless, star-crossed love, Roberts has crafted a fantasy-romance trilogy with strong appeal for romance fans of all stripes.”
— Publishers Weekly (starred review)" I liked the characters in this trilogy very much. This was the first time I'd read books by Nora Roberts, so it was a trial run. Once I got to know the characters, I felt like I needed to find out what happened, but these books weren't as clean as I hoped they'd be, so I'm not willing to recommend them to my friends. Still, this was a VERY different take on vampires than the Twilight series, and that was one of the interesting points for me. "
— Michelle, 2/14/2014" wonderful book ... I loved Cian from the beggining to the end of the book! And Moira is a feminine character everybody wants to meet. "
— Renata, 1/11/2014" Good series. Strong characters. Decent fighting scenes. "
— Carrie.neuburger, 1/10/2014" This was my favorite of the three books probably because it focused more on Cian! "
— Gaynell, 1/2/2014" Miora and Cian are one of the most beautiful couples I've ever read. This is my most favorite series in the paranormal world. I will reread it many, many times. "
— Crystal, 12/27/2013" Entertaining - and I do like a happy ending. ;) "
— Marti, 12/24/2013" its like Buffy the Vampire slayer but better and in a book :) "
— Shanna, 12/18/2013" This is the last book of the Circle Trilogy, and it is just as good as the previous two. The interaction between the "good vampire" and the humans is quite reminiscent of the Twilight. But I must say that Nora Roberts maintains just few enough characters not allowing for too many identity mix-ups. "
— Alejandro, 12/2/2013" SPOILERS: I love the end...I just love the face that the gods let Cian be human. I totally admit to be a hopeless romantic dork:) "
— Christina, 4/25/2013" I loved the series...I am now a Nora Roberts fan. "
— Ivyives, 3/20/2013" I absolutely loved this trilogy, and sincerely wish the author would write more like these. I also thoroughly enjoyed the sign of Seven Trilogy by this author and recommend the Circle Trilogy to lovers of fantasy, urban fantasy, vampires and other preternatural characters or medieval fantasy. "
— Kelly, 2/21/2013" This was my favorite out of this trilogy. "
— Heidi, 1/30/2013" If you look at this series as one total book it would probably get three stars, considering the type of book it is of course, but it was entertaining. "
— Addie, 8/28/2012" The culmination of the Circle Trilogy. The characters that we've grown to like in the first two books fulfill the destinies set before them. A satisfactory conclusion. A bit predictable but good. "
— Photojim, 8/15/2012" Excellent ending to the trilogy! "
— Sabrena, 8/3/2012" ditto, what I said for the first book :) "
— Minerva, 8/3/2012" I like this story along with it's predecessors. The Characters were engaging and fun. I am not so big on steamy scenes, but the story is great, and who doesn't love it when the characters get the happy ever after. "
— C.B., 7/15/2012" wonderfu. i love how it ended.. "
— Stacy, 11/1/2011" The is my favourite from The Circle Trilogy. "
— Dayangku, 8/30/2011" just finished the trilogy and felt it was pretty good and provided some interesting twists on vampire lore. More and more, I'm running across fiction where vampires can stay awake during the day assuming they remain out of sunlight.. I'm not sure if I like that. "
— antnp, 7/23/2011" Surprisingly fast paced third part. Almost heartbreaking love and friendship story.<br/>I really enjoyed a happy ending. "
— Tatiana, 3/30/2011" This book was by far the best in the Trilogy! If you haven't read these books yet then its a MUST! Go out right now and get all 3!! "
— Jana, 3/24/2011" Just take my advice and read this series. This book was my favorite of all three, epic battles, sweet romance and a predictable but perfect ending! (Cian is my fav.) "
— Anna, 3/4/2011" Well written and was worth the struggle with the first two. "
— Babs, 3/1/2011" omg! i loved this book. it was beautifully written. "
