Second in the Circle Trilogy from the #1 New York Times bestselling author
Raised in a family of demon hunters, Blair Murphy has her own personal demons to fight—the father who trained, then abandoned her, and the fiancé who walked out on her after learning what she is. Now she finds herself training a sorcerer from 12th century Ireland, a witch from modern day New York, a scholar, and a shape changer from the mythical land of Geall, while trying to keep herself from staking the sixth of their circle and host: a vampire sired by Lilith, the vampire queen they’ve been charged with defeating on Samhain.
No stranger to butt-kicking, Blair finds herself taking a good whipping when it comes to that handsome and flirtatious Geallian, Larkin. And a couple of run-ins with Lilith’s right-hand gal gives Blair more than she reckoned for, mentally and physically. But will she be able to stay afloat long enough to defeat Lilith’s loyal in pre-battle bouts? Or will she find herself falling for the one thing she vowed never to give in to again? If the vampires don’t do her in, Larkin is certainly up to the task.

"this was a great book! it was even better than the first in the trilogy. i loved the relationship between Blair and Larkin. they were such an adorable couple. Blair with her hang-ups about falling in love (and the possibility of that person leaving her) and Larkin having to get used to an independent woman. the development was great for the characters and the plot. there were also some really endearing love scenes and some really funny scenes as well. Larkin i have to say is probably my fav male character. he's strong, affectionate, funny, giving and was a shape-shifter. who could ask for more. there was some time-travel, plentey of action, romance, humor and the ending leads right in to the last novel. i recommend this novel to all readers, especially ones with great taste =)"

“More so than Roberts’ previous books, this trilogy plays out as one long tale broken into three spine-tingling sections. The gritty reality and omnipresent danger that permeate this story add poignancy to the unlikely but heart-stirring romances trying to develop in a sea of darkness.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)“Roberts’s latest is a testament to her skill and range, as this richly detailed fantasy—only her second attempt at the genre—hums with wit, humor and sizzling romance. Paranormal fans are assured a good time, as is anyone who enjoys captivating fiction.”
— Publishers Weekly (starred review)" I loved this book as much as I loved the first...If not more. I admit it, I am a sap for romance:) "

— Macy, 2/14/2014" Second in Nora Roberts' Circle Trilogy, this series is certainly a departure from her many romances I past enjoyed. Vampires, witches, sorcerers, shape-shifters, royalty, time-travel; nothing's missing here. I do have to say that the vibe I get when reading this series is not one of horror and fear, although all the elements are there. Rather, my experience is one of fun, romance and adventure. I think at this point in my life, I'm satisfied with Nora's brand of horror. "
— Luckngrace, 2/5/2014" Book two of the Circle Trilogy, Nora Roberts enters in the world of magic that fights evil in the form of Vampires....in this 2nd book the Circle of six prepare for the big fight and travel to the world of Geall were the great battle will take place on the Valley of Silence. Larkin the shifter of shapes from Geall and Blair the vampire hunter descendant from the Mac Cionaoith family (back from 12 century with Hoyt and Cian (the vampire in the circle)fall for each other and find true love. "

— Barbara, 1/7/2014" The second in the circle trilogy just continues the story of the 6 people called to save the world that is and those that will come. Full of sorcerers, witches, vampires, time travel and love. Excellent series for me. This is about my fourth or fifth time reading the series. "

— Katy, 11/8/2011" Still Nora, still decent romance. Not the biggest fan of Blair -- I don't know why, but something about her toughness rings false to me for some reason -- but there you go. Larkin is adorable (but can't unseat Jamie Fraser SORRY) "
— Serahae, 7/23/2011" Maybe this wasnt the best out of the seires it stood up against the others, carring on the plot and continuing the romance "
