" I had just finished listening to another Nora Roberts book, The Witness, when I began this story. The contrast was striking. The narrator's voice in Genuine Lies was very distinctive and I found it intrusive in the story; my focus was more on her voice than the book. Also, the book itself was about 3 hours too long--it dragged on. Most books by Ms. Roberts hold my attention very well; this one did not. "
