"This gets a "Really Liked It" rating because I read it very quickly, which must indicate that it was worth my time. I think, more than anything, I enjoyed peering through the window into military life. The story moved quickly and the characters were developed well enough to be believable."

“Henderson’s writing is the envy of a lot of evangelical writers for its gritty and convincing detail.”
— Booklist" Another great book by Dee Henderson! Though I liked the first book in the series better...it was only because this one was a little more intense during the war/aerial/rescue scenes. I found myself really having to focus to picture the imagines. Gracie and Bruce are wonderful characters and I enjoyed how Wolf (from True Devotion) was a secondary characer in this one, along with involvement from Bear and Cougar. Looking forward to the next one! "
— Sara, 2/7/2014" A good book with great insight into the US armed forces which is so different to what I know. I liked the fact that both characters had a strong faith and how that carried them through the good and tough times. "
— Jennifer, 2/5/2014" Love Dee Henderson's books--great reading without all the language and moral muck! "
— Diane, 1/26/2014" I don't think there is anything of Dee's that I don't like. My hubby enjoyed this series as well. "

— Jill, 1/17/2014" This book was also a gift from ages ago. It wasn't as captivating from the very beginning, like the first one...but I cried...and I didn't cry while reading the first one. I'm glad I read them and I think I would enjoy other books from thsi author as well. "
— Amber, 1/15/2014" I just finished reading this book for the second time. It is a good blend of christian fiction and military fiction. I know there were multiple times I did not want to put it down! "
— Amanda, 1/10/2014" This was a good Christian/military book. Enjoyed the storyline and will read the rest of this series. "
— Jeri, 1/9/2014" I enjoyed this story, but it seemed to move a little slow. Still a good story and worth reading. "
