Diane Mott Davidson has been called the Julia Child of mystery writers. Critics and fans alike can't resist coming back for more helpings of her best selling culinary mystery series, which includes Catering to Nobody and Dying for Chocolate.

Nasty weather has put Goldy's catering schedule on the skids for weeks. Now, happy to be working again, she looks forward to whipping up a sumptuous dinner for two wealthy clients who are celebrating their new venture - the reopening of the Eurydice Gold Mine. But when one of the men disappears, and her best friend is accused of murder, Goldy must find out who has turned the feast into a fiasco.

Davidson's spirited characters and narrator Barbara Rosenblat's irresistible voice create a combination that has just the right touches of humor, danger, and suspense. And all of Goldy's tantalizing recipes are included at the conclusion of The Main Corpse. You'll find tasty dishes like Tomato-Brie Pie and Chocoholic Cookies. There's even a treat for four-footed gourmets: Jake's Dog Biscuits. Download and start listening now!

" A very edgy type plot even for the situations protagonist Goldy usually gets in. This time she endangers the life of her best friend, son, and threatens to destroy her husbands career. It was suspenseful to the end with several twists and time-running-out scenarios. "

" Goldy's best friend Marla, the "co ex wife" of her first husband, is accused of murder. "

" This title reminds me of the movie ~ The Cook, The Thief, His wife and her lover. Only because a person is cooked and people are forced to eat him. (It's an ultra-violent movie.) The book isn't violent. Instead, it's about a scam. I'm convinced Goldy has terrible judgement. Her clients always seem to have troubles. Not only are the clients crooks or drama queens, her friends are questionable too. How many people who are her "friends" have now been involved in some kind of murder? Ugh, I didn't like this one. "
