"I really enjoyed this book. The characters are fun and entertaining, there is enough drama with support characters that you can tell it is part of a series without feeling like you are lost if you haven't read the other books, and there are plenty of plot twists and turns. **spoiler** The only qualm I had, and the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, is that the cover and summary suggest some supernatural involvement. There is a good bit of superstition, but that is all it is. There are no actual faeries, "wee folk", or other supernatural beings. It did not take away from the story, but it did disappoint just a little."

" I liked the Angels and Ireland info in this book. I felt like I was there. Simon and Keira compliment each other nicely. I had no clue who it was until the end and then it didn't really seem like that is who it should have been. "
— Christine, 2/20/2014" Nice mix of mystery, suspense, romance, and magic "
— Anne, 2/15/2014" Great read! Fast paced and interesting! "
— Janetlee, 2/8/2014" A simple plain love story, silly mistery, obvious end "
— Saul, 2/5/2014" Great "sitting by the pool" read. "
— Mia, 1/11/2014" Nice easy escape read. I enjoyed it. "
— Megan, 12/29/2013" Excellent storyline; however, the folklore of the angel just isn't that exciting. Everytime is shows up, someone dies. Yet, everyone speaks of how lucky and enchanting it is. I enjoyed the book but the follow through of the concept needs some work. "
— Marsha, 12/25/2013" I really enjoy this novel and look forward to reading more from Carla Neggers. "
— Andrea, 12/21/2013" Very romantic and suspensful!! I loved it! "
— Kaitlyn, 12/3/2013" This book was cute but the characters were little bland and the story a little lackluster. "
— Erin, 12/2/2013" I really like Ms. Neggers books. However, the guy in this one is such a total jerk, I could hardly get through it. Ended up skipping large chunks. "
— Bob, 11/30/2013" This was an OK book. Suspenseful with a bit of romance. It didn't have the greatest ending. Towards the end of the book I just kept thinking "come on already, end" as I started to get bored. If the author cut the book down a bit, I think it would have made all the difference. "
— Melanie, 11/19/2013" I read the series out of order and that was okay but this book solidified the story and it all made sense. I actually liked this book the best of the 3 in the series. Love the characters and how they develop in the story! "
— Moira, 11/14/2013" Carla Neggers deviates from her typical story line in this book by adding an innuendo of myths and legends and it works beautifully. "
— Sherry, 6/30/2013" Sort of a boring book. Not much plot and the characters were just very uninteresting. "
— Patti, 5/6/2013" I really enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful, with a little bit of fairy tale thrown in. It wasn't so scary I couldn't read it at night, but I had trouble leaving it because I would start thinking about it later. "
— Heather, 5/1/2013" Enjoyed this book very much,nice suspense & romanse "
— Grannyvango, 1/26/2013" This book I read on holiday as an quick easy beachside paperback! I enjoyed the mystery, the slight scary thrill of.. is it? or isn't it? and the Irish connection... "
— Tennessee, 11/29/2012" This was a great book. I loved the Irish theme through it and how this Angel came in and out of all the lives! I found this book at my moms and loved it, I'll have to find more by this author! "
— Brooke, 10/1/2012" Good summer read. Great Irish folk lore mixed with American love story and detective work. Nothing super unique but still a good story. "
— Apzmarshl, 6/25/2012" I thought would be a really good story but it was draggy and I found the switching from one location to another to be most annoying. I also do not care for the way she writes. I couldn't wait to finish it! "
— Marti, 4/23/2012" Enjoyed another Carla Neggers FBI series; always an entertaining read. This one focused on a young woman's work with Irish folktales. Quickly read. Nice escape story. "
— Judy, 3/3/2012" Better than 3 but not a 4 "
— Cheryl, 1/20/2012" This is book was ok. I liked the story. I liked the characters. But it was too all over the place for me. I couldn't remember the characters names. I couldn't remember who was connected to who or why it mattered. "
— Lara, 11/27/2011" This really had one of the most convoluted and ridiculous mystery plots I've read in a long time. (sigh) Plus, the characters were really not that interesting. Just Ok. "
— Janell, 10/18/2011" This book was suspenseful, as advertised. I liked the feel of the Irish countryside and folklore. It was an interesting story. "
— Donna, 6/26/2011" I got a copy of her book at our RWA conference and I am so glad I did. She's a very good author. "
— K.r., 6/5/2011" Nice easy escape read. I enjoyed it. "
— Megan, 4/11/2011" This really had one of the most convoluted and ridiculous mystery plots I've seen in a long time. (sigh) Plus, the characters were really not that interesting. Just Ok. "
— Janell, 4/6/2011" Beautiful and joyous in a way. Mysterious and just really nice "
— Keira, 10/16/2010" nice premise. Fairy tale/story origins investigated. Good mystery and compelling read. "
— Madison, 10/9/2010" Once I started reading it was had to put down. "
— Kelly, 8/9/2010" Just not very believable, I struggled to get through the entire thing. The characters were shallow and there were too many instances of overreaction for it to be a compelling read. "
— Laura, 4/3/2010" I did not realize this was the #2 book till I started it. Don't think it helped or hurt to read out of order. I don't think I will read the first. Was a little to dark for me. "
— Cindy, 3/2/2010" Kept me guessing a bit...but good book "
