" Through the first half of this book the reader is repeatedly reminded that it is cold in Vermont during November - as if that is some major revelation. About two thirds of the way into the story (weak, disjointed and incomplete) the author finally decides to develop the plot - but by that time it is too little too late. "

" With all the back stories, this felt like a sequel to a book I hadn't read. There was a fair amount of action and suspense... though no questions get answered! The ending... there isn't one! "

" *Big sighs* This was good Mystery book, but was lacking in the Romance department.. Had there been less characters to be distracted by and had it delved more into Jo and Elijah's romantic relationship, this could of been a great romance/suspence. Over all I give it 3 stars, because it was still an interesting mystery. "

" Dear Mother... did this book bore the crap out of me. I get that there is no true ending since there a two more books in the series. However... come on!!! A killer on the lose, kids in peril a dimwitted Secret Service Agent and her equally dimwitted love interest. UGH... spare me! "

" I thought Cold Pursuit was well-written, but it just didn't grab my interest or attention. I made myself finish it, but I realized half-way through that I really didn't care about the characters at all. I will probably try one of Neggers' other works, though. "
