Publisher Description

New York Times best-selling author Carla Neggers dishes out heart-pounding romantic thrillers. As a Deputy U.S. Marshal, Juliet Longstreet has locked up quite a few violent criminals. When one of Juliet's enemies is released, he's on a mission to kill-and she's first on his list. She must team up with hunky Special Forces agent Ethan Brooker to find the criminal. That is, if she can trust Ethan.

"This book was a good mystery. The only thing I don't like about Carla Neggers books is the sexual content. Why?! Ok, I know some people like it, but it's just not my style. Luckily, she is pretty predictable and I can "see it coming" so I skip a few pages and move on with the mystery."

Quotes

  • “Neggers excels at this type of story, and guides the reader gracefully through many twists in both mystery and romance. Juliet and Ethan are a perfect match, and watching them realize it is greatly satisfying.”

" Not as good as some of her newer novels. Not much romance. This is the 1st book of the series I have read, and not a lot of background on some of the characters. Do you need to read #1-#3 first? I doubt I will. "
