Publisher Description

During an intimate dinner party, a cat burglar breaks into the home of A-list actor Marcus Dowling. When his wife walks in on the thief, the situation quickly teeters out of control, leaving an empty safe and a lifeless body.

The same night, a woman and her infant child are ruthlessly gunned down in an abandoned garage. The killer hasn't left a shred of evidence, except for a foreboding and cryptic message: WCF, the letters written in blood-red letters.

With two elusive criminals on the loose, Detective Lindsay Boxer calls on the Women's Murder Club to help her stop them before they continue their spree. But before they can break either case, the Lipstick Killer changes his act and demands a ransom--not for a single victim, but for all of San Francisco. Lindsay puts her own life on the line--but will it be enough to save the city from this deranged killer?

"The women's murder club work together to solve a string of lipstick murders that involve young moms and their infant children. Boxer is also out looking for the Hello Kitty burglar of expensive jewels. Hello Kitty goes awry on one of her break ins and flees after being seen. The next day she learns Mrs Dowling was killed by a gun. Hello Kitty didn't do it and she believes Mr dowling did. Two women struggle in their current marriages only to find they love each other and are trying to get away from their abusive marriages. Boxer puts her life on the line when the lipstick killer demands 2 million dollars to be delivered only by her. All this is neatly wrapped up in the end, and is a non-stop page turner by james patterson."

Quotes

  • “With her husky voice, precise articulation, and even cadence, Carolyn McCormick shines as she returns to the series. She fully embraces the primary characters with empathy, giving each one an identifiable voice. Best of all, she completely embodies Lindsey Boxer. Although she occasionally struggles with accents, McCormick’s gritty and sometimes-edgy sound is perfect for suspense thrillers, yet she capably softens her tones for more sensitive scenes.”

  • “The 9th Judgment is everything that an outstanding mystery and thriller should be, as it shocks, tantalizes, and teases right up until the very end…Yet another riveting work in a great series.”

" I thoroughly enjoy this series. If I need a fast paced guaranteed entertaining read I pick up a James Patterson book. The funny thing is you would never know that James Patterson is a hilarious man based on the topics of his books and author picture. I was fortunate to meet him several years ago at a book signing. Keep the books coming!! "
