" LOVED this book. The kids really liked the stories and they each taught some good life skills. I also liked the page at the end of each story for parents/teachers. Gives discussion questions and ideas to work on that skill. We need more childrens books like these! "

" I started to read this through right after bringing it home from the library. I didn't think I would like it because it was too didactic. My kids did though. They like the characters and stories. AND, I've already been able to use some of the things we learned in practical situations. The other day my daughter came up to me at the library and said she'd like to check out a book on tape since she's bored at home sometimes. I got to compliment her on taking charge for herself (the first principle we read about). I've also tried to coach kids who are having trouble coming to a resolution about finding a win-win situation. I haven't read it all the way through with all of the kids, but this is the book we keep in our van for times when we have to sit there and wait etc. so I'm sure we will soon finish. "

" This was a good book with life lessons for little kids. Each story illustrates one of the 7 habits, and after each story is discussion questions and extension activities related to the habit. I can see why some districts are implementing this as a school culture thing. Easy to read and legit. "
