"I also really really enjoyed this book for this month's book club read. Reading it was like getting free therapy! Whether you are a fan of the author or not, I think that everyone should read this book, it offers so much on how to eliminate any negative in your life, big or small, long or short term. Some parts were more applicable to my life than others but in the end, I felt like i came away with some great advise on how to live in a positive and optimistic way, no matter what kind of trials or troubles I am currently experiencing or have had in the past. Whether it is learning to let go of things that have been hurtful to us long ago that may deep down be hindering to our spirits and ultimately keeping us from progression, or "just saying no to hurt feelings" in our every day lives with family members and friends, this book helps to put things into perspective in a way that helps us "Stop Whining and Start Living"!"

Quotes

  • “The advice is presented smorgasbord style, so listeners can sample it anywhere in the program and be enlightened. This is a soothing audio as well because Dr. Laura's principles are so universal and because they're delivered by a narrator who is completely dialed in to the author's humanitarian tone. With her appealing vocal clarity, Lily LoBianco sounds perfectly at home with herself in this lovely recording.”

" The more I read from Dr. Laura the more I like her. I don't agree with everything that she says but I do agree with most of her concepts. I struggled with listening to her at first but then I accepted she really was talking to and about me and it made a difference. I started experimenting with her ideas and concepts and it has changed my outlook on life and how I should be living it. I hope I continue to apply her advice in my life and that it keeps improving my life. I CAN make my life better. "

" I enjoyed this book because it was a good reminder of how great life is - if you choose to make it great. It is easy to get caught up in complaining about how hard life is, but Dr. Laura emphasizes that you have your time to be sad, angry, etc. and then you must move on and start living your life. "
