Publisher Description

The follow-up to her million-copy bestseller The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands, Dr. Laura focuses on both partners in the relationship and reveals how to bring marriage back from the brink of disaster.

Jumping off her million-copy bestseller The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands, Dr. Laura now exposes the sensitive and loving truth in appreciating the polarity between masculine and feminine in order to produce and sustain a wonderfully satisfying marriage. Both husband and wife have power in the relationship, and each needs to realize this in order to ensure personal satisfaction. Using real-life examples and solutions from her call-in radio show, Dr. Laura focuses on the typical mistakes made by men and women in their relationships, and shows how marriages can come back from the brink of disaster and divorce.

"I'm almost done with this book and actually quite enjoying it. Dr. Laura definitely has strong opinions about men and women roles but I don't think she's too far off. A lot of the book includes samples of phone calls she's recieved but if you allow yourself to resonate with them it can be quite good and help keep you focused on the thing that matters most in life - family."

" Once again Dr. Laura has given truthful and stinging advice. This book, along with Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands should honestly be read and reread often. It is good to be reminded and be kept in check. "

" I only listened to part of this book on cd. I did enjoy it and I think she gave really great tips. I really liked her other book "The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands" better. But I thought this was interesting as well. Great for those looking for marriage helps. "

" I am not a huge Dr. Laura fan. Kevin listens to her show so we read the book together. Perhaps we don't fit the norm, but the things she mentioned for guys, I was like and the things she mentioned for girls Kevin fit. I felt like there were a few things that hit it right but nothing I would recommend the book to other people for. "
