Praise for the FBI Thriller Series “Bestseller Coulter’s riveting thriller opens with a bang. . . . Well-developed characters and an expertly paced plot that builds into a breathtaking conclusion.” —Publishers Weekly on Knockout (starred review) A serial killer is on the loose, and it’s up to FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock to bring him down. They soon discover the killer has blood ties to an infamous and now long-dead monster. Savich and Sherlock are joined by agents Lucy Carlyle and Cooper McKnight, and the chase is on. At the same time, Agent Lucy Carlyle learns from her dying father that her grandfather didn’t simply walk away from his family twenty-two years ago: he was, in fact, murdered by his wife, Lucy’s grandmother. Determined to uncover the truth, Lucy moves into her grandmother’s Chevy Chase mansion. What she finds, however, is a nightmare. Not only does she discover the truth of what happened all those years ago, but she faces a new mystery, one that has been passed down from mother to daughter for generations. As the hunt for the killer escalates, Savich realizes he’s become the killer’s focus, and perhaps the next victim. Only Lucy can stop this madness before it’s too late.

"Good addition to the series. Loved the continuing story of Lacey and Savich and their son Sean. I like Coop and Lucy's romance but I had a problem with her decision on what to do about the Ring. With multiple story lines this was definitely action packed--I enjoyed this book."

“Lucy’s brush with mortal danger leads her into Cooper’s arms and closer to uncovering her family’s dark secrets. A tight plot full of unexpected twists will keep readers turning the pages.”
— Publishers Weekly" I think that Catherine Coulter has gotten to the point with Savich and Sherlock that Patricia Cornwell hit with Kay Scarpetta: it is time to let them go. The focus used to be on Savich/Sherlock using their paranormal-ish powers to help solve crimes and was barely mentioned in this book. There is a book after this one in the series, I don't know the title and don't think I am going to learn it. "
— Susan, 2/8/2014" A new FBI thriller from Catherine Coulter is always a treat! 3.5 stars from me. "
— MB, 2/6/2014" Once again, Coulter inserts the supernatural into what would be a straightforward romance-thriller-FBI procedural. And it was great! "
— Margaret, 2/2/2014" Three story lines when one would have been enough. "
— Rosemary, 2/1/2014" I love the FBI series from Catherine Coulter. Can't wait for the next one. "
— Candy, 1/23/2014" What a disappointment. Maybe I've been reading too many "good" books. Predictable and eye rolling at times romance, plot was also pretty predictable. I did enjoy the twist on the whole Ted Bundy thing, but that was about it. Going back to a new YA title I guess. "
— Kathy, 1/20/2014" Great book! I enjoyed it and couldn't wait to finish! Suspenseful with lots of twists. I always enjoy a good Savich and Sherlock mystery and now it looks like we might have more with Lucy & Coop. "
— Jodie, 1/20/2014" Very good book, lots of action. "
— Sandy, 1/9/2014" I think Coulter has a split personality. She can't decide if she wants to write crime thrillers or paranormal accounts. The crime thriller side of this book was pretty good, but the paranormal part detracted a great deal from the story. I have read several by her, but this will be my last. "
— Melena, 12/28/2013" A good book for the series "
— Donna, 12/25/2013" I didn't find it all that thrilling. The paranormal aspect was unexpected and threw me for a loop. The convenience store story felt like an afterthought. And the romance wasn't very well developed. "
— Demetria, 12/15/2013" I'm a sucker for this cop series. Have been following it for years. Fast read with a great plot. "
— Janette, 12/13/2013" It was ok but not great. "
— Pat, 12/10/2013" As with all of Catherine Coulter's books, I found this story very intense. It's actually 3 different stories all going at the same time. Great FBI thriller. "
— Stephanie, 11/28/2013" Fun to read even though it was not believable. "
— Mary, 11/24/2013" Eh, another highly published fiction author phoning it in. "
— Jean, 11/24/2013" I enjoy Coulter's FBI series...usually! I struggled with this one. The three separate story lines were too much. The main plot was good but the magic ring and the convenience store owner didn't fit - it took away from the main story. Sometimes less is more. "
— Marybeth, 7/26/2013" Dialogue was unreal and amateurish. Had a difficult time finishing it. "
— Deena, 7/10/2013" Disappointing. There was no character development; instead the dialogue between the characters supposed to show quirkiness or flirtation or whatever emotion the character was suddenly supposed to be feeling but it just came off as stilted. And the plot was all over the place. I do not recommend it. "
— Fionna, 3/19/2013" Always a good read!!! Catherine Coulter's FBI series is one of my favorites! "
— Kris, 10/1/2012" As always, another exciting book from Catherine Coulter. I think I have read most of the books in this series and enjoyed all of them. "
— Carolyn, 4/5/2012" First time reader of this author. Liked every thing except magic stuff. Not a fan of complete fantasy. "
— Mary, 2/8/2012" This was an okay book. An FBI Thriller about Ted Bundy's daughter following in Daddys footsteps. "
— Sue, 1/25/2012" I guess this is what you get when, in desperation, you buy a book from the limited selection at the neighborhood CVS. Wow is this bad. The writing is laughable. Just awful. I'm finishing it only because I always do, but I will avoid Coulter like the plague from now on. "
— Kim, 1/25/2012" Wow, this books contains a few twists that the reader totally doesn't see coming! Good page turner thriller. "
— Jacquelyn, 12/27/2011" So far, I'm hooked! I read the first 10 chapters this morning! :) "
— Debra, 8/27/2011" Another Execellent Read by Catherine Coulter. Savich and Sherlock get better with every book. "
— Alician, 7/22/2011" Another great story in Coulter's FBI series! "
