"I didn't want to like this book. Its been a long time since I've read the preceding books in the series, and a long time since I've read anything by Coulter. I don't care for the style in which this books is written. Despite all of that, I really did like the story!"

" This was during my historical romance kick. I read every series in the Bride line by Ms. Coulter. They are all variations upon the same theme. I still enjoyed every single one. It's nice to see tie ins with other characters into these books. "
— ♆, 1/19/2014" All the books in this series were excellent "
— Brenda, 12/14/2013" It was okay, but not that great. Sorry. "
— Jordan, 12/3/2013" I know I read this, but cannot remember it. I was too fond of Tysen in the earlier books, he seemed kinda wimpy. Maybe I'll try it again someday. "
— Alicia, 10/23/2013" Enjoyable read about a Scottish vicar who finds a bride , a girl who has been shunned in her village, and has a strange secret which makes her stepfather use her to gain his ends. "
— Anne, 10/13/2013" Listening didn't make me like the book any better but the narrator was excellent, especially with the children's voices. "
— Jane, 9/15/2013" Not my usual fare, but a cute and entertaining book to listen to in the car. Tons of anachronisms, which sort of got on my nerves, but also really funny in places. "
— Willa, 9/7/2013" Well done, but I don't like gratuitous sex scenes. The book would have been wonderful without them. "
— MommaLaura, 9/6/2013" makes you wish u were born during these times at times lol just wonderful, omg i wish i could do some of these things today 2013 "
— Ayeshah, 6/12/2013" I've actually read every historical romance Catherine Coulter has written "
— Zana, 3/10/2013" Read one Brides book and you'll just have to read them all. "
— Luckngrace, 12/26/2012" This is my favorite Sherbrooke Bride. I love Tyson and Mary Rose. They make the perfect couple. "
— Karen, 11/24/2012" Don't remember this one, but Catherine Coulter is an interesting person to listen to. "
— Chris, 11/14/2012" I loved this series, and the reader. You know the genre: 17th century drama and love, totally predictable plot, and characters you wish you knew, personally. "
— Tina, 2/26/2012" This was a really funny book...i just loved the scene in which they were all fighting naked!!! hilarious! must read!! "
— Sara, 11/13/2011" This one was a bit sadder than the others, but that made it a better connection with the reader. I liked it a lot - it's an excellent series. "
— Annette, 10/17/2011" I never thought Tysen would marry. "
— Linda, 4/4/2011" Good read, the carriage scene was intense. I'm not a big fan of helpless women that's why this only got three stars but still a great plot. I would recommend giving this a read. "
— Anna, 3/4/2011" I somehow enjoy when women in books have men's nicknames. "
— Angela9600, 2/23/2011" Oh goodness, Catherine threw me for a loop here. No joke, I honestly thought...wait, I can't tell you that. You have to read it for yourself. ;P "

— Pam, 10/12/2009" not really keeping my interest but feel compelled to get through with it,it might get better... ha "
— Jenny, 2/12/2009" The plot seemed a little forced, but I like the characters in the story. This probably should have been a stand alone novel. It might have worked out better, I think. "
— Alicia, 12/2/2008" I love all of Coulter's historical romance, and this was no exception. The plot was a little muddled, but still quite enjoyable. "
