Publisher Description

"Carr is a master of charming small-town ambience." —Publishers Weekly on Return to Virgin River

Welcome back to Virgin River with the books that inspired the hit Netflix series…

John "Preacher" Middleton is closing Jack's Bar when a woman and her young son come in out of the wet night. A marine who has seen his share of pain, Preacher knows a crisis when he sees one—the woman is covered in bruises. He wants to protect them and to punish whoever did this, but he knows immediately that this is more than just instinct. Paige Lassiter has stirred up emotions in this gentle giant of a man—emotions that he has never allowed himself to feel.

Then Paige's ex-husband turns up in Virgin River. And if there's one thing the marines' motto of Semper Fidelis—always faithful—has taught Preacher, it's that some things are worth fighting for.

Don't miss Robyn Carr's next uplifting novel, The Friendship Club, where four women come together at a tumultuous time in their lives, forging an unbreakable bond that will leave them all forever changed—available January 2024!

"I really want to give this one 5 stars. It's my favorite of the series. The problem is the main couple of this book have to share it with three other storylines. They're good other storylines but really I think that Preacher and Paige deserved just a little bit more time for themselves."

" I totally fell in love with Preacher. I like these stories, but there is always so much going on. Usually I like the focus o be on the main couple, not everything else that is going on in town. "

" This has got to be one of the best books I have read in a long time. I laughed, got angry, I cried. To top it off a fell in love John "Preacher" words can not describe that man, oh why does he have to be fictional...lol "

" Shelter Mountain is a nice piece of CHIC lit. This story does not stand out as one of the "best reads", however, it is a good read. I loved the characters!! I will look by more books by this author. "

" I thought this book was good, very strong in the secondary character's parts. The main romance was very sweet but I thought it could have been more intense by the end. Still, it's very good. "

" I loved it but it was very violent. I feel her books are not only sweet romance, but it also feels like a bit of a cliche with the domestic abuse, teen pregnancy. I love the characters but can we have a sweet, nice, non violent romance? "
