Welcome back to Virgin River with the books that started it all…
A moving story about survival, forgiveness—and the power of love to heal a wounded spirit
Marine corporal Rick Sudder is home early from Iraq—his tour ended abruptly on the battlefield. The carefree boy is gone, replaced by a man who believes his future is as bleak as his mirror image. But can the passion and commitment of a young woman who has never given up on him mend his broken body and shattered heart?
As the people of Virgin River rally around Rick, another recent arrival tests the tightly knit mountain town’s famous welcoming spirit. Dan Brady has a questionable past, and he’s looking for a place to start over. He’d like it to be Virgin River…if he can find a way in. But he never expects to find it in the arms of a woman who was as much an outcast as himself.
For a favorite son returned from war and an outsider looking for a home, Virgin River offers them a chance to make peace with the men they once were…and to find the dreams they thought they’d lost.

"I put this one off. I think I've read every other book in the series now. I wasn't sure I wanted to read about the teens, the mature couple, and the alcoholic/grower. But I had wanted to read more about Cam and Abby. I was wrong to wait. I truly care about all the couples and I'm glad I read it. I love this series, this town, and how Robyn Carr gets you to care about the couples."

" Ricks story was hard to read but very well written. I just felt so bad for him and it makes you realize how hard some soldiers have it. It was very vivid and realistic and truthful about how a wounded soldier returning from a war will missing parts would act and feel. I hurt for him and his loved ones and I enjoyed reading about him healing and evolving. Definitely recommend! "
— Brittany, 2/12/2014" Not my favourite. It moved very slow. I was satisfied in the last chapter. This was the second attempt at reading this one. It is also 3 days over due. "
— Denise, 2/10/2014" This sixth book in the Virgin River series leaves me with mixed feelings. Oh, it's always great to be back in Virgin River and to be reunited with Jack and Mel, but it seems that in this book there were too many stories going on all at once, instead on really focusing on one main story. "
— Marleen, 1/31/2014" I liked this one because it gave good updates on all of the characters. And I'm glad Cameron and Walt got their stories along with Rick and Liz. Pretty good. "
— Apryl, 1/20/2014" 3.5 stars. I love this series but felt that this book had too many love stories going on. I would have liked to have more focus on Liz and Rick because those two have been through some real heavy stuff. I'm looking forward to the next book. "
— Leea, 1/8/2014" I laughed, I cried, I so felt for these people. "
— Cheryl, 12/10/2013" My first book by Robin Carr. Very good characterization. I am hooked on these people. Will surely read more of her books and seek out others in the Virgin River Series. "
— Jessica, 8/15/2013" I sooooo can't wait for the next books to be released! "
— Mitch, 8/13/2013" This one is coming close to the top of the list for the Virgin River series. Rick story was sad and enlighting for me. I was so glad Shady Brady finally got a story. "

— Connie, 6/21/2013" tears tears tears tears. "
— Lisa, 4/29/2013" Im ready to move to Virgin River!!!! "
— Misty, 4/27/2013" Depressing and a bit all over the place but I still read it quickly. Cameron and Abby should have been the focus instead of Rick and Liz. "
— Nicole, 12/25/2012" Reading this series is like visiting with friends. In the previous books there have been characters added whose lives/loves I looked forward to. This one more a change in the town I'm looking forward to. "
— Virginia, 11/16/2012" Another great novel in the Virgin River series! New characters as well as more on the characters I have grown to love in the earlier books. "
— Lori, 10/17/2012" It is always nice to spend some time in Virgin River. This is my go-to series when I'm in the mood for a solid contemporary romance. Robyn Carr's characters are so true to life. And, of course, Jack Sheridan always brings a smile to my face. "
— Amanda, 8/16/2012" Good, a lot of stuff going on in this book, but i liked the end. "

— Jenn, 10/4/2011" Feeling very annoyed that this book ended. Feel there are still too many loose ends. We ARE going to see more VR book in the future, aren't we? "
— Holly, 9/29/2011" 3.5 stars. I love this series but felt that this book had to many love stories going on. I would have liked to have more focus on Liz and Rick because those two have been through some real heavy stuff. I'm looking forward to the next book. "

— Season, 1/9/2011" Romance continues to abound in the little town of Virgin. The author shows us what can happen to our servicemen when they come home injured by war. Many lives are affected and it's interesting to see who really helps the fallen serviceman. "
— Patricia, 10/21/2010" Too many characters. Good story lines but could have been split into several books with more details. Hard to follow at times. "
— Lindsay, 8/11/2010" Hard to say whose book this was. I liked Muriel and Walt, and Rick and Liz, but wished I could have skipped all the Cam and Abby parts. Did not like them. "
