"I don't get all the mildly bad reviews for this book. Okay, if you focus on the details of the plot they show themselves to be a little over the top, but let's not forget this is fluff. It's meant to be over the top. And, by my admission great piece of fluff."

"Charming...I enjoyed it thoroughly"
— Heather Graham, New York Times bestselling author" It was very much an older LK novel, and it reads like an early work. "
— BamaGal, 2/14/2014" Okayish. This is just a light and fluffy romance novel in which improbable things happen but you just sort of don't mind if you are able to suspend your disbelief. It's one of Kleypas's "older" (lol at 1995 being older but romance novels have changed a lot since then) novels so its quite different from what she's cranking out now. In any case, everyone thinks Anastasia Kaptereva has killed her fiance Prince Mikhail Angelovsky so she is forced to escape St. Petersburg and flee to England where she obtains the position as governess to Emma Stokehurst, the 12-year-old daughter of Lord Lucas Stokehurst. She's running from her past, Lucas is trying to forget his. Of course her past catches up with her and we are transported back to Russia, then back to England again. But guess what happens at the end????? Of course! In any case, I had read the sequel about Emma - Prince of Dreams - before and enjoyed it so it was interesting to get the background on everyone I had met before. "
— Indiana, 2/9/2014" Hard to grade. Some of Kleypas's most lovely writing combined with some plot elements I didn't care for "
— Michael, 1/30/2014" Suka banget ma jalan cerita dibuku ini, jadi ga sabar nunggu cerita ttg Nik dan Emma, pasti seru ngebayangin perjalanan cinta mereka dari Emma baru puber ampe mereka akhirnya jadi. Ga sabar juga ngebaca reaksinya Luke pas Nik pedekate ma Emma. kekekeke..... "
— Sari, 1/10/2014" This one was ok, I guess. Chick running from a crime she doesn't remember if she committed and lands her a tall rich dude with a hook for a hand. Lots of syrupy mush and a pseudoalpha male. No hard limits for miles around. "
— Julz04, 12/6/2013" Loved it from beginning to end and am looking forward to the second book in the series. "
— Stephanie, 11/24/2013" I loved this book. I only have one wish, that Luke was a little more lovable. "
— Wendy, 3/8/2013" Great narrator, Susan Duarden does an excellent job with this book, she makes you forget, that this is not one of Lisa Kleypas best novels. "
— Lupdilup, 8/19/2012" Not my favorite...seemed a bit contrived. (Yes, I am saying that about a romance novel). "
— Liz, 11/30/2011" Great narrator, Susan Duarden does an excellent job with this book, she makes you forget, that this is not one of Lisa Kleypas best novels.
"
— Lupdilup, 8/9/2011" I enjoy Lisa Kleypas and this is no exception. Its a predictable book but the writing is great. It sets off the next book nicely. I enjoyed the hidden humor that was found between the two. A man that knows what he wants and goes for it oh what a man. "
— Ty, 8/5/2011" Not my favorite. Didn't fall in love with the characters and didn't believe their attraction. "
— Miko, 5/10/2011" Tasia kabur dr Rusia karena dituduh membuuh tunangannya
di Inggris dia menyamar jadi Governess Emma anaknya Luke Stokehorst

Jaman dulu banyak maho juga
jadi penasaran ama Nicolas angelovsky *bener gak nih nulis namanya???* "
— Dwi_eternity, 2/1/2011" I liked this book. It was very hard to put down. I actually stayed up until 2 am so that I could finish it (didn't matter that I had to be up again at 5:30). :) "
— Ashley, 1/17/2011" Hard to grade. Some of Kleypas's most lovely writing combined with some plot elements I didn't care for "
— Michael, 10/23/2010" One of my first romances, back in the day when I was still sneaking them in from the Paper Cutter in junior high. I was glad it got re-released, since it was what got me hooked on Kleypas! "
