"Enjoyable novellas--love this concept of 4 authors taking the same basic storyline and then developing it in their own style. I enjoyed the previous one, It Happened One Night. Hope they will keep going! "
— Anna (4 out of 5 stars)
“These four charming novellas are as different as the authors’ names. You’ll find wit and passion, feel sympathy and concern, and with four such stars you’ll be sure of superior writing and color—don’t miss this fascinating book.”
— Romance Reviews Today“A delightful romantic read.”
— Romance Reviews“Each author utilizes her inimitable talents to concoct a beautiful love story in another wonderful collection! Kudos to all four authors!”
— Night Owl Reviews" 2.5 stars. Didn't even finish the first one as it was too preposterous. Mary Balogh's was okay, though pretty smooth and convenient. The third was mostly forgettable but had a nice heroine, and the last, by Candice Hern, keeps this from being just plain two stars. It was a very sweet, soft romance in the vein of the older regencies (which I loved). A former soldier with PTSD paired with a lame young woman? Awesome. 3.5 stars for that one. All in all, a decent way to pass the time, but nothing special, though I will be checking out more Candice Hern stories. "
— Ava, 2/15/2014" Four fun stories. I think I like Laurens' best, since it has action and a crime (blackmail). "
— S, 2/12/2014" Only read the Balogh and Laurens short stories... "
— Sandra, 2/10/2014" 3.5 these were all great. very cool about the same theme but different authors versions. "
— Amanda, 2/6/2014" Didn't suck. "
— Shalon, 1/17/2014" A fun summer read to take your mind off the hot weather! I really enjoyed stories 1, 3 & 4. The premise for story 2 was very good, but much too abridged. "
— Annette, 12/28/2013" Nice, but fairly meh set of short stories. The improbable set-up just didn't do anything for me. The best of the lot was Candice Hern's "Fate Strikes a Bargain," which was a moving story of one soldier's PTSD. "
— Lady, 12/15/2013" I thought all four stories in this anthology were very good. "
— Lindy, 12/6/2013" A pretty insipid anthology. The Balogh story is sweet, and I liked the pairing in the Hearn story -- a disabled, overly protected heroine and a hero with PTSD. The other two stories were too dull to finish. "
— willaful, 7/14/2013" The last story was definitely my favourite, but I really liked all four of them! Great read! "
— Mandy, 6/2/2013" I would say maybe 2 out of the 4 stories were good. "
— Ariel, 6/1/2013" Four well written short stories/novellas AND the discovery of another Amazing Author! "
— Leslie, 10/26/2012" Four short stories each with the same plot but differently executed. Clever. "
— JJ, 8/3/2012" A lovely set of short stories. "
— namericanwordcat, 6/16/2012" Interesting concept, but ... drivel. "
— Lil', 5/10/2012" enjoyable series of short stories "
— Talietha, 12/6/2011" Maybe I expected too much? It was a good collection of regency romances, not bad. But I wouldn't have bought it if it was not on sale. "
— Sho, 9/20/2011" Nice short stories. I especially liked Mary Balogh's and Candice Hern's versions. "
— Minna, 5/8/2011" 2 for Laurens and D'allesandro; 3 for Balogh and Hern "
