Eclipse Bay has grown and flourished on the rugged Oregon coast, where the shore can be rocky and forbidding, full of sharp cliffs and hidden coves. But this small town is also filled with secrets as treacherous as the landscape - and rivalries as fierce as an ocean storm. . . Their grandfathers hated each other. Their fathers hated each other. And as the next generation of Hartes and Madisons, Hannah and Rafe are expected to hate each other too. But Hannah Harte - a successful wedding consultant with a skeptical view of marriage - remembers the long-ago night on the beach that revealed Rafe as much more than just "that disreputable Madison boy." And Rafe remembers the heroic gesture that proved Hannah's fierce spirit was stronger than any feud - and saved him from near-certain imprisonment. Now - reunited by a surprising inheritance after years of living their separate lives - Rafe and Hannah return to Eclipse Bay, and the hostilities that still divide, and bind, their families. And they are discovering something that is at once delightful and deeply disturbing . . . They don't hate each other. Not at all. . .

"Actually reminds me of some by Nora Roberts... A good read, despite the heroine - characterized as prim and prissy and indeed, rather irritating on the whole. Hero much more fun to be around, and one can only hope she mellows before he loses the stars in his eyes.."

" This is a well-written contemporary suspenseful romance by a favorite author. "
— Terri, 2/15/2014" I'm a little uncertain about this book. The story of Rafe and Hannah was OK; Hannah's character could be a little "prissy" at times and that sort of wore on me. The big mystery was mediocre but kept the story moving. I also didn't care for how many of the characters actions (both Rafe and Hannah) were blamed for their family names "I'm a Madison that's why". I listed to this on the Audiobook, which was fine, but I really didn't like the narrator's voice for Hannah so that might have contributed to some of the negativity towards her character. The author did set this up for the next book at the very end. "
— Dawn, 2/8/2014" This trilogy by Jayne Ann Krentz is an entertaining quick read. Not as great as Robyn Carr's Virgin River series, but good nonetheless. "
— Nancy, 2/6/2014" Very good read, it will go quickly. "
— Sharon, 2/6/2014" Jayne is an interesting writer...I fell in love with her work at first glance...I am hooked!! "
— Georgina, 2/2/2014" Ta trilogija mi je daleko najzanimljivija iz opusa doticne, svakako preporucam, i citajte po redu :) "
— Nina, 1/27/2014" Reading for NL Book Crawl Challenge. "
— Donnajo, 1/26/2014" Mindless fun with a mystery twist! "
— Lymor, 1/20/2014" There are other of Krentz's books I have enjoyed more but the tension between the two is acceptable. Read it more for the location. "
— Jan, 1/13/2014" Fairly standard Krentz novel, with all of the usual elements in place. Wished there had been more detail on the setting or even of the house that Rafe and Hannah both wanted--either would have helped make this less forgettable. "
— Joy, 11/24/2013" Modern day, just a bit sugary, Romeo and Juliet "
— Lizzie, 11/18/2013" Ive read this series once..but im reading it again because ive yet to go buy any new books. =) "
— Kelsey, 10/30/2013" A little predictable - I cannot help but choose these sorts of books but them am somewhat annoyed at them (the predictableness and the quickness/ease with which love follows). When will I learn? "
— Becky, 5/1/2012" One to read over and over again. "
— C.J., 4/19/2012" Yes, their grandfathers hated each other but it wasn't that big of a deal. Get over it. Have ''forbidden'' sex instead, I see that you liked having it. "
— Jana, 10/10/2011" If I could do 2.5 I would -- but there were just more moments of "eh" than enjoyment, so I can't make myself round up. "
— Christine, 7/3/2011" Not bad. The family feud part of the story was a bit overdone. I would have liked some of the minor characters to be fleshed out a bit more. Still a good read. "
— Nranger7, 4/28/2011" This truly is an updated and charming version of the Hatfields and McCoys, except they're the Hartes and the Madisons. Two likeable protagonists that you are happy to root for and an intriguing little mystery to solve along the way. Toes-in-the-sand kinda fun reading. "
— Vivian, 3/18/2011" Liked this one almost as much as the first. "
— C.J., 9/22/2010" I'm really enjoying the relationship between these two feuding families. I like the professional matchmaking theme. "
— Angela, 9/15/2010" Second in this series which I read a while ago. Light, quick read. It doesn't go very far, but it's a pleasant enough journey short as it is. "
— penelopewanders, 5/24/2010" Very fun but not as exciting as the first book in the series "
— Monica, 2/28/2010" Again - I read the first of the series so I knew that I was going to read this as well - I thought the first was okay and I thought this one was perhaps marginally better than it. However, still a predictable love-story. "
— Becky, 10/27/2009" A great follow-up to Eclipse Bay. I also really enjoyed Summer in Esclipe Bay. Great summer reads. "
