From New York Times bestselling author Jayne Ann Krentz comes the second novel in a dramatic trilogy set in breathtaking Eclipse Bay, a town filled with rivalries as fierce and compelling as the rugged Oregon coast . . .
Nothing was ever simple between a Madison and a Harte. The feud that had divided their families still simmered. Now, only months after their siblings' wedding, Lilian Harte and Gabe Madison are at each other's throats.
Successful CEO Gabe had insisted on becoming a client of Lilian's matchmaking service. And after five disastrous dates, Lilian is at her wit's end. If she hadn't already decided to close her business and move home to Eclipse Bay, Gabe would have been the final straw. But when she finds Gabe at her door demanding she fulfill their business contract, the sparks between them suddenly turn personal. Once again, Eclipse Bay will witness a showdown—between a relentless Madison and an irresistible Harte . . .

"The second in the Eclipse Bay series, it is at least as good as the first, both of which are wonderful. Ms. Krentz's trademark great dialogue (with a few minor exceptions) and wonderful characterization are here and the mystery is good but of less interest. I did wonder about Gabe's uncharacteristic involvement with AZ and her conspiracy theories. It jarred a bit, but on the whole, it was a funny addition to the plot, so I am going to ignore that it seemed so out of character for Gabe and just enjoy it as I do all Ms. Krentz's books."

" this book was just too cute, i liked it. swwet. "
— Lizzie, 2/20/2014" *happy sigh* Funny how I enjoyed book 2 so much more than book 1. Must've been the secret agenting. :) And I think the h/h were both somehow more approachable, less perfect. "
— ms, 2/13/2014" I liked this book, like the series, but I swear, if I read one more "Hartes this" or "Madisons that" statement, I will scream! I can't even think about reading the next one yet, because I just can't take any more sweeping generalizations about these two families. "
— Lesley, 2/9/2014" Enjoyed this book even more than the first. I love the pairing of Lilian and Gabe! "
— Lannie, 2/6/2014" Not a bad series by Krentz, but not her best. 2.5 stars because it was so predictable. "
— •´|||||`•., 1/27/2014" Second in this series which I read a while ago. Light, quick read. It doesn't go very far, but it's a pleasant enough journey short as it is. "
— penelopewanders, 1/23/2014" Cute, funny romance (albeit a bit dated) with a bit of a mystery. A likeable escape read. "

— Lizzie, 11/20/2013" Eclipse Bay # 2 "
— Mem, 10/10/2013" 2.5 Meh. Started off interesting, got boring halfway through. Then it had an ending I didn't like one bit; forced resolution is never a WIN in my book. "
— Aimee, 9/7/2013" Again - I read the first of the series so I knew that I was going to read this as well - I thought the first was okay and I thought this one was perhaps marginally better than it. However, still a predictable love-story. "
— Becky, 4/27/2013" This truly is an updated and charming version of the Hatfields and McCoys, except they're the Hartes and the Madisons. Two likeable protagonists that you are happy to root for and an intriguing little mystery to solve along the way. Toes-in-the-sand kinda fun reading. "
