" Not a bad series by Krentz, but not her best. 2.5 stars because it was so predictable. This was the best of the three. "

" Average as far as romances go. Not as smutty as many, which is good. Good story. "

" This was a decent read, but with a pretty bland story line. I never really bought the whole feud thing between the grandfathers, & I felt like it wasn't really supported well. I live in a small town, but even I found the bit about generalizing personality traits based on family name to be unbelievable for two people who spent so much time together. Those types of generalizations are more believable for the initial phase of the relationship, but once they started interacting so much, they should have moved beyond that. I saw this primarily in the Hannah Harte character. The feud between the two families wasn't given enough meat or coverage, especially since it is the primary barrier keeping the two main characters apart. Not sure if I'll read the rest of the series. If I don't, this book may end up reclassified on my 'stand alone' shelf despite being the first book in the Eclipse Bay series. "

" quick read...there was a little intrigue but not much...ready for book 2 "

" Fairly standard Krentz novel, with all of the usual elements in place. Wished there had been more detail on the setting or even of the house that Rafe and Hannah both wanted--either would have helped make this less forgettable. "

" I thought this was a nice little tale. I was really happy there was a mystery to the death of his ex-girlfriend. I was so happy the way the story started out and ended. Am anxious to listen to the next one. "

" This is a well-written contemporary suspenseful romance by a favorite author. "
-

Jana | 8/28/2013
" Yes, their grandfathers hated each other but it wasn't that big of a deal. Get over it. Have ''forbidden'' sex instead, I see that you liked having it. "
-

" A little predictable - I cannot help but choose these sorts of books but them am somewhat annoyed at them (the predictableness and the quickness/ease with which love follows). When will I learn? "

" If I could do 2.5 I would -- but there were just more moments of "eh" than enjoyment, so I can't make myself round up. "

" This romance has a stereotypical plot and characters, but it was so much fun to read that I didn't mind. I look forward to reading the next book in the trilogy. "

" This trilogy by Jayne Ann Krentz is an entertaining quick read. Not as great as Robyn Carr's Virgin River series, but good nonetheless. "

" Really should give this three and a half stars, I guess. Enjoyable, feel-good rather predictable story. Just what the doctor ordered for a day not feeling well in bed.

" This is like a movie; everything ends up happily ever after. It was too perfect. The story was bland. It's not a page-turner and I was very disappointed with the ending. Not recommended. 1/5 stars.

Carrie | 4/13/2009
" Not bad, especially good secondary characters, but I don't know if that was enough to make me want to go back and read the rest of the series.
