" This is one of those books I wished i loved more but somehow I just really didn't? I can't really even particularly think of a good reason why? I thought the certain events (very triggery events) that occur in the book were handled in a very sensitive and careful manner and it never felt like the author just used it as a plot device. Perhaps with a re-read I'll grow to appreciate other aspects of the book and I could end up loving it as everyone seems to but after my first read, I mostly came out of it thinking, "Hmm... that was okay. Definitely could have been much worse." and really nothing else. "
