Return to the enchanting Pacific Northwest town of Friday Harbor in New York Times bestselling author Lisa Kleypas’s Crystal Cove where two people learn that fate isn’t written in stone when they’re woven together by the magic only love can bring. . .
On an island off the coast of Washington State, Justine Hoffman runs a B&B, sharing the beauty of the region that has become her home. After spending her childhood in thrall to the wandering whims of her mother Marigold, Justine settled down to live her own life. Still, Justine’s heart is restless. Love remains elusive, a dream always out of reach.
Jason Black is a millionaire videogame developer. A driven workaholic, he’s in Friday Harbor on business, not to sightsee—no matter how tempting it is to relax in the company of his B&B host. And as Jason gets to know Justine, he finds himself off balance with a desire that threatens to expose his long-buried soul.
But Justine is incapable of letting Jason or anyone else into her heart. From the day she was born, she has been bound by a spell that prevents her from finding true love. And freeing herself from the cruel curse could unleash dangers that would consume the very love she wants with Jason.

"Possibly the best of the Friday Harbor books so far, although Lucy and Sam's story is hard to beat (Rainshadow Road.) All of these books have a bit of magic in them--usually something subtle, like Lucy's ability to manipulate glass, or Zoe's magic in the kitchen. But with Crystal Cove's Justine, the magic is full-blown and out there. She's a witch, and fairly powerful, for all that she's rejected moving beyond the most basic instruction. Her reluctance is largely because she's rejected her mother's plans for her life -- and speaking of witches, and not in a nice way, Marigold (the mother) takes the cake.) But Justine is a strong, determined heroine, who wants to fall in love. And sure enough, the most unlikely hero shows up on the doorstep of her B&B. Jason Black is sexy, sexy, sexy, but with a secret motive for choosing Justine's B&B. Until he meets her, and then he has just one thing in mind and that's keeping her forever. Lisa Kleypas is a wonderful writer, and I love these books."

" Loved it. It was more magic than magical realism and it reminded me of Practical Magic. I'm excited that although this was supposed to be the final book, it appears there will be another. "
— Shelly, 2/19/2014" I didn't like some of the characters, especially but not only, the protagonists. "
— Jean, 2/18/2014" Fun, quick romance read. "
— Joan, 1/21/2014" Absolutely the best of the Friday Harbor Series! Lisa Kleypas topped herself, yet again. Wishing there were more to this series. "
— Tawnya, 1/17/2014" I enjoyed it so much! Love this author! "
— Maryanne, 12/29/2013" HotDamn, that was awesome!!!! Lisa's books never disappoint!!!!! The small touch on PNR, the heartache, the sensuality, and the happy ending. An awesome end to a great series. "
— Celeste, 12/26/2013" Lisa Kleypas has written some of my all-time favorite romance novels so it pains me to say this but "Crystal Cove" is monumentally terrible. Justine was really stupid and reckless and Jason Black seemed more "creepy evil asshole" than "true love." Blech. "
— Rachel, 12/14/2013" An okay book, but a lot of magic and witches. Not my cup of tea. This series started out great, but has definitely lost my interest. "
— Emily, 12/12/2013" might have been better if Justine's character had shown in previous books, it just didn't work for me "
— Dee, 10/19/2013" I thought overall the book was great just like Lisa's Others (I have read all of her work) but I felt that the book didn't capture me the way rainshadow road did. Still loved the story and worth the read. "
