Madeleine L'Engle's ground-breaking science fiction and fantasy classic, now a major motion picture. This audiobook includes an introduction read by the film director Ava DuVernay, a foreword read by the author, and an afterword read by Madeleine L’Engle’s granddaughter Charlotte Jones Voiklis. Meg Murray, her little brother Charles Wallace, and their mother are having a midnight snack on a dark and stormy night when an unearthly stranger appears at their door. He claims to have been blown off course, and goes on to tell them that there is such a thing as a "tesseract," which, if you didn't know, is a wrinkle in time. Meg's father had been experimenting with time-travel when he suddenly disappeared. Will Meg, Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin outwit the forces of evil as they search through space for their father? In 1962, Madeleine L’Engle debuted her novel A Wrinkle in Time, which would go on to win the 1963 Newbery Medal. Bridging science and fantasy, darkness and light, fear and friendship, the story became a classic of children’s literature and is beloved around the world. A Wrinkle in Time is the first book in The Time Quintet, which consists of A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters, and An Acceptable Time. © 2007 by Taeeun Yoo. "Wow, wow, and wow. A book that I should have read twenty years ago or more, and I'm so glad that I finally read. Weird, strange, scary, and compelling. I really think this is a classic work of young adult literature. It feels right to have finally read this book."

" I read this book when I was young. Later on I found the author lived just 15 minutes from me. Listening to the story again was fantastic. Some of the best books can be read or listened to many times. I highly ly recommend. "
— MikeG, 3/18/2022" this is a really good book when you read it. "
— gunjana, 3/15/2018" My 7 year old daughter really enjoyed this book. She asked for it every time we got in the car until it ended. She was surprised by the ending and felt like it needed more closure. Otherwise, the book was very engaging. "
— Beth, 2/13/2018" A Wrinkle in Time written by Madeline L'Engle, is about two children who go on a journey to find their father, with the help of some friends. They travel from several different planets by tessering picking up clues that will eventually help them in returning home safely. I thought the book was interesting yet a little all over the place, literally. I do not see me using this book in the class room because I would not know what I got from reading it, more or less what I would expect the children to get from it. "
— Kenyatta, 1/27/2014" easily predicted ending. too bad. "

— Janelle, 1/10/2014" Go Charles Wallace and meg go kill IT "
— William, 12/30/2013" This book blew my mind, such a hard concept to digest. The imagination that followed after reading this short novel has been magical to say the least. "
— Mia, 12/8/2013" I loved this book so much when I was a kid. It really captured my imagination, and I read it several times....But this really didn't hold up when I re-read it as an adult. "
— Amoebot, 11/14/2013" One of my all time favorites! "
— Annie, 11/12/2013" This book rocked my world as a kid. I was an avid reader, but mostly fixated on horse books like Misty of Chincoteague and The Black Stallion. This series showed me that there was a whole 'nother world of much more complex books out there. "
— Page, 11/7/2013" I read it for kicks since I remember liking it when I was a kid. I didn't remember much of the book and I really didn't remember all the religion in the book. Pretty well done! "
— Dil7worth, 10/15/2013" Favorite book from childhood. It shaped me into the fiction/fantasy reader I am today. Incredible imagery. I still re-read it now and find it fascinating. "

— Noreen, 7/19/2013" This book is just a little... well, strange but great all the same. It twists your mind and mystifies you with weird possibilities. Overall a very good book. "
— Elizabeth, 1/24/2013" Much different to read it as an adult - 'saw' lots of things I missed, or took differently as a child. "
— Amelia, 8/20/2012" i loved it so much i cant wait to read the next one the next ones called a wind in the door "
— Lizzyhancock, 8/9/2012" Another book that helped me get through. "
— Wendy, 4/2/2012" The first half of this book was very strange, but I enjoyed the second half. The characters are interesting. L'Engle's said in interviews that she had trouble selling it because it was "too different". I agree, it was quite different. If I'd discovered it as a kid I might have liked it better. "
